Warning; it’s very bad.
Highlights (All of which should be taken with the grain of salt that they are just alleged, but the state of California feels there is enough proof to proceed with a civil suit):
- Alex Afrasiabi committing sexual harassment/assault routinely without repercussions.
- Female employee committing suicide after having her nudes shared around the office.
- Female employee also potentially being coerced into a relationship by a supervisor who brought sex toys with him on company retreats.
- Black employee having to write an essay to justify getting time off.
- “Cube crawling.”
- Multiple instances of misogyny in the workplace.
- Women fearing retaliation for bringing up these incidents to HR.
- HR being terrible.

Basically the state of California, after an investigation, is suing Activision Blizzard for reports of sexism and sexual harassment against females in the work place.
I would recommend avoiding the forums if I were you. It’s not going to be very fun or WoW-related around here for awhile.

I certainly wasn’t expecting to read that. I think I’ll just avoid engaging in conversations on the forums until this blows over. Weighing in on hot topics never ends well. Thanks for the info guys!

It would require a moderator to be available 24/7 to keep threads moved to a separate forum. Moving them all into the same thread for the many months until this issue is resolved would probably overload the forum.
Not a complaint, a jab meant to elicit a correction, and it worked. Retired ESL teacher here, so you do the math (or the English), oh . .

Their degeneracy finally came to light.
The state of California on behalf of several complainants is accusing Blizzard of unfair business practices, discrimination, and harassment of female employees. Blizzard says liar liar pants on fire. So it’s going to court.
I just think people that correct grammar are jerks. That’s just my opinion.
Well, that’s too bad. Language is a skill that we can all improve on, whether it’s your birth language or second language. Being teachable is also a skill.
I would hope that if I demonstrate bad English that someone would correct me!
