I just did three WQ for this that did not increase my sparks of life count - Spellforged Creations, Furry Friends, and A Bone to Pixaxe.
Did you remember to turn warmode on?
Yes, I was in Warmode. i had done three other WQ (as well as looted two chests) that added to my sparks count right before the three WQ that didn’t.
Were your bags full?
For some reason, you don’t get sparks from WQs if your bags are full.
Omg, I think they were!! I guess the joke is on me. I’ll keep that in mind for the future, thanks!

Wait, does WQ give sparks upon completion? I did not know this, awesome another pve event (rares, loot boxes) that you have to do to get a pvp currency, lame Blizzard.
Sidebar- Flightstones should be given out as reward in bg’s if we have to use as a currency to upgrade gear.
