Veteran wow player returning and playing as a veteran/trial with level 20 characters. I find myself always at the 1000 gold cap. Is there something I can spend my gold on in the 100 to 1000 gold range? Mounts? Cosmetics? So many things seem to go for alternate currencies. Where can I spend gold? Thanks.

I can’t seem to find Gold among the incredible list of currencies, but if you sort the list by Cost Ascending, Gold comes near the top, starting at the end of Page 1 for me. Ofc, some of those will require rep.
Similarly for Toys here
There are also some vendor pets for Gold, but AFAIR, they tend to be cheap, and on a Veteran Account you can’t level or battle with them.
Thanks. This is very helpful. The mounts are all 1500 or more, so that won’t work, but there seems to be a gazillion toys that could be good gold sink opportunities, ranging from 1g up to 1000g and more.
I used that tool to look up cosmetics and unfortunately it seems that they are for non-gold currencies (at least the ones I checked).
But thanks. I’ve got at least an avenue to spend some gold, even if I need to hunt down some toy vendors.
As I specified the sort, Page 3 (151-200) are priced from 10 to 500 Gold, and page 4 has a dozen or so between 500 and 1000.
Ofc, those pesky reps may get in the way. Hard to get for level 20s. 
Yeah… if I could use the Warband, I could put this character in with some high level characters who might have the rep. Ah well… hard to complain when they do offer quite a bit to F2Pers.
Also… when did Transmog start allowing “hidden” pants?!? I’m loving running around in my boxers or panties and bra.

Many battle pets can be bought for gold and resold later on. Used to be the best way to exchange currency from one server to another.
They can, and it was once a decent goldmaking side-gig, but OP is on a Veteran/Starter Account, so can’t trade or use the AH.
Exactly. I’ve got a bunch of level 20s with 1000g and it’s a nuisance to unload bags when I can’t just click the vendor on my Yak and sell it all. I have to drag and drop each item individually. It’s unnecessarily tedious.

Can starter characters use the bank? Or is that restricted/has a gold cap too?
Starter account characters can use the bank, but cannot store or wothdraw gold from the Warbank.
