Some tips for MoP Remix

I just felt like sharing some tips some people may not be aware of, it would help guide you through the remix content.

Initially starting off I didn’t know much about these but now I do, it just made my life easier, I’ll just put them here:

  • Don’t spend bronze on tinker or meta gems (if you can). The reason why is because You’ll most likely get them all by the time you reach lvl 70.

  • Store the gems you aren’t using in the bank at the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

  • Get your prismatic gems to legendary, but only if you can bear to do so. Getting a prismatic gem to legendary gives it stamina so make sure to only upgrade if necessary.

  • Read boss guides for the raid bosses, seriously this morning the other tank I as with aggroed the three stone golems and almost wiped out the raid several times. I also had people standing in fire. Despite certain bosses being easier in the remix it’s just your due diligence to at least know the mechanics.

  • Visit the Gem Procurement merchant for the neck, trinket, and rings you need. Each one is tied to an achievement for doing instanced content.

  • At max level be sure to start upgrading your armor after all your pieces are 346ilvl.

  • Remember to use your scrolls in instances!

  • Most important: Don’t switch specs (ie. DPS->Tank), the stats on your cloak scale with your spec, if you switch you’ll have to re-grind for the appropriate main stat on the cloak.

I think im gonna just buy mounts when im 70… can i do normal dungeons as a fresh 70 or do i need to upgrade before i do them ??

You can plow through normal dungeons at 70. I did Halls/Scholo last night on normal to finish off the golden astral cloud serpent. Cakewalk.

No need to upgrade anything if you’re just grabbing the mounts and other goodies.

Edit - I did have my gear at 346 mind you. I just didn’t upgrade anything.

There is also a small dragon across from the bank NPCs that sells extra bags for your bank if you want more room to hold all of those gems or organize them better. The bags cost 10 bronze each.

Its tied to the “Vale of Eternal Blossoms” Achievement. Its very easy to do.

Don’t you need to get exalted with Golden Lotus and August Celestials as part of that?
Oh wait, nevermind. It’s 2 of the 4 achieves.

You can get exalted with the golden lotus in like 5 quest.

You only need to do 2 of the 4 requirements of the achievement. I just did Golden Lotus and the 3 rares.

Yep. Some easy LFR kills, a few normal dungeons, VERY fast Golden Lotus rep and that was that.

I wonder what happens if you try to use your Argent Gruntling.

It probably just doesn’t work lol, idk.

I tried to use the Pandaria map toy item to learn all the flight points in Remix, says you can’t lol.

Why would you need them when you have dragonflight? You can literally traverse all of pandaria in like 2 min.

Great tips. However,

I don’t need a lot of bag space and would rather keep all gems on me so I can improve them over time instead of going back and forth to bank.

Wait till they see the bronze cost. lmao

I don’t recall being able to upgrade tinker and meta gems? The reason I mentioned storing them in your bank is because it becomes cumbersome each time you have to swap armor and try to look for the gems to place on your new armor.

It is honestly easier to do heroic dungeons as a low-level character than it is to do normal dungeons as a fresh dinged max character.

I meant upgrading the stat gems as far as their tiers.
