Some one please explain (AB)

AB is coming on Mar 10. Players are sobbing rivers on the forums about content being released too fast. I am struggling to understand how releasing AB will have any negative impact on the game.

In fact it should make the game more playable for a lot of people who feel disenfranchised. Moving some of the premade teams to AB will ease up the fairly awful situation for pugging. Sure there will be a lot of AB premades initially, but it should actually help the other bgs become pugable again.

Some one please explain why this has people so salty other than the #nochanges immature babies.

Horde dont like AB being released so soon due to all the AV players moving over to a more fair map.

You might not be wrong…

Very excited to hear about how AB is unwinnable for alliance next month because of some random as-the-bird flies lines someone measured in paint. Can you guys get the crying out of the way now or would you prefer to save it for the patch?

I will revisit this quote in one months time.

AB is a pretty balanced BG but farm, blacksmith and lumbermill is an easier trio to defend for horde compared to stables, lumbermill and blacksmith for Alliance.

Still waiting to hear about why this is bad. Come on people!

I am in 100% agreement with you here. I see no downside to AB and only upside, especially for lower level brackets.

This is true, but overall it’s at least close to fair, whereas AV is just simply not.

Arathi Basin doesn’t need to be perfect, because it’s fun for alliance, even if the win rate won’t be 50/50. It certainly won’t be 99/1 like AV.

AB is actually already known to be slightly horde favored though I doubt it’ll matter much.

I have yet to really see alliance complaining about losing WSG excluding premade complaints and I doubt AB will be any different.

I’m just hoping AB will have less hph than WSG so that premades will avoid it more.

The gist of it is that AB (and DM, and BGs) releasing faster than they did in vanilla means everything will be released faster (even though this ignores the fact that both BWL and ZG are releasing roughly on the same schedule as they did in vanilla). If all content comes out faster, the logic goes, the game will die, because everyone is in a zoomer guild that facerolls the content on release day and will quit as soon as there’s nothing to do.

That’s the argument, as far as I can tell.

The game needs more BGs. Everyone loves them. Even if you aren’t in the honor grind, they’re just fun to do, except for AV, which is a tire fire for my faction.

So yeah. Release AB. Release new BGs. And just give us the 2.0 honor system.

The real honor farmers will still go WSG for the faster wins.

AB may be unfairly tilted toward horde, but it’s not an insurmountable obstacle.

I dislike pretty much every BG released TBC onward.

At leaSt we won’t have 100% of the rankers in wsg though. Honestly the best thing would be if all rankers could go back to av and let AB/WSG stay cancer free.

Instead of 99% winrate in AV, it will be about 80% winrate AB horde favored.

I haven’t gotten this character to 60 and I’m going to sit in org queuing AB until the servers rot into dust and I’ll never max out this guy. It’s a seriously problem.
