Some of the AQ drops are screwed

doing aq40 in 3 characters, never seen Kalindor’s Revenge or cthun’s axe. Eighth reset of aq10 and no moam’s off-hand or shackles. I don’t think I’m alone here because I also don’t see many people with those.

I really just want to see a heroic mode that is very hard but GUARENTEEs a drop of certain items. Maybe change it up. “This week, heroic mode will guarentee drop x” and so on

We just saw a cthun axe finally but still yet to see anything good from anq 10 man run besides the bis ring, no trinket, no off hands, no crossbow
Let alone every hard mode chest has dropped nature res tank gear and the same 3 recipes DPS caster trinket agility cloak and strength cloak it’s annoying make hard mode chest drop tiers or weapons

Couldn’t this be said about anything? Didn’t get an Eye from Rag until Nov 4th with every reset, then someone will have a guild with six of them-- Never a binding. Saw only one DFT and Prestor’s in all of BWL… Just a slot machine lotto.

Loot tables seem a little weird ngl. Both aq and BWL are funky.

My guild never saw an eye drop. My rogue got 1 binding cuz I had the other one from a pug run. We never saw another binding. RNG is rng. =(

Our Enhance Shaman from 2019 that didn’t get Sulfuras or Dark Edge of Insanity for all of Classic got Dark Edge on our third AQ40, was cool to finally see him win a weapon after years of his luck being a meme

It is just the wow loot system at work. I see 2 garbage wands every time I do the 2nd boss of AQ10. I have never seen a prestors a single time in bwl. 0 polearms/twin gloves in AQ20. Just the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately.

I think that is one of the reasons why some of the loot is so rare, because thrash loot can drop twice. I’ve seen Moam drop 2x plate helmet at least 3x.

They should have increased the loot amount that drops from the HM chests. Going from BWL which decided to drop an entire vault on you to this where you only really get crafting recipes feels bad.

The HM chests should’ve dropped 3-5 pieces from the 3 bosses they were tied to with last chest dropping the mount and weapon illusions as they still do but then 3-5 pieces of loot from Twin Emps, Ouro, and Cthun.

We probably won’t be in AQ long with Naxx already been put out on the PTR as fast as it was but imo thats even more reason for them to make loot drops in higher quantities.

Yeah TBH I think they’re just trying to get Naxx out before AQ Bleeds everyone out

Sucks because 2.5 sets are extremely good currently but at least that part is going out quickly in raid

Where is the hotfix for this. Loot still incredibly rigged with crappy loot dropping up to 3 of the same while the weapons and good stuff never drop.

It’s not that some of the drops are screwed, it’s a combination of luck of the draw and less loot than MC/BWL.

In MC heat 3 you had bosses dropping Rag gear plus the meatball
BWL you had chests at the end that dropped Nef gear.

Say you want a drop off C’thun though - he only drops 2 items a week besides the 3 tier tokens and of those 2 items there is a possibility of like 13 different items. There are no bonus chests or other bosses dropping C’thun gear. You can argue some thing similar here for Emps.

It’s the way they added bonus loot this phase, directly to the bosses. In bwl we had the big chest always dropping weapons while here the bonus loot will just troll with crappy loot dropping multiple times from the same boss since it has a bigger drop chance. This week alone I had 2x nature resist cloth boots, 2x nature resist plate chest and 3x healing gloves from huhu.

The solution they should have come up with, but didn’t and now it’s probably too late, is to have had a vendor for the items to purchase them with the Qiraji Lord’s Insignias. Then the player could decide earlier whether to turn them in for rep, or save for an item, and after the rep is finished, save for the items that elude them.

Players only able to clear AQSmall would only get 6 per week, so they’d still potentially be achievable but after many weeks, and for players able to clear AQBig they’d have an elusive item after maybe 3-4 weeks. It would also be another reason for players to run AQSmall to gather more of the Insignias after their reputation is finished, similar to how we use Tarnished Undermine Reals to incentivize dungeons.

It’s a real shame this wasn’t a path they considered. Especially with the amount of resist gear dropping in the raid, while most raids aren’t using resist gear at all in the raid.

Why do you guys always insist on having raid gear from vendors? It defeats the purpose of playing the raid. So tell me, do you raid after you get the gear you want? Or do you dip out till next phase and have to repug a new raid tier? In my raid team I would have kicked you so fast with that mentality. You don’t need to always be rewarded for raiding.
