I’m here trying everything i can with pugs group to heal Ruby life pools in +16 key and with tyranicall it’s really hard to time it , every group i got is hell to play in . How can you time a court of start so easily and the other one is hell and frustrating to do ?
Sure is lack of tuning
As you know healing in DF is not easy on healers and some dungeons are tougher than others. Two suggestions I have: time your cool downs better, and out gear the m+ key you’re running. Some will say ilvl has no bearing if a key will be timed or not, but for my sanity, my holy pally is 382 ilvl and I’m choosing to run +7 keys until I become better at playing my pally and better geared for higher keys.
RLP gets quite easy once you get up in key level, and you find yourself in groups with DPS running around like chickens with their heads cut off less often.
In your key range it’s not a lack of tuning lol it’s a lack of skill level and knowledge
The only bosses I feel are overtuned still are Hyrja and the last boss in RLP. AV just needs a timer extension or more nerfs to trash.
Hyrja zaps the group for 120k+ every 1.5s starting on +20s and higher and the easiest strat on that fight is to either bug her out or keep her in the holy phase for as long as possible.
The last boss in RLP does a gross amount of unavoidable damage during P2. Flamespit + aoe interrupt + infernocore = 300-400k damage to 3 people in 3s. If you don’t burn the dragon down the group wipes because people can’t usually survive the 2nd and higher flamespit combos.
Rlp boss starting interrupt shout every time 3 spit dots go out is the biggest slap in the face to me as a healer. Absolutely ridiculous. Especially on quaking week.
- Hyrja in HoV, I think it’s bit too much damage during storm but I think it’s kinda okay to have that. However, quaking + thundering overlap during the storm is what it push her over the edge. When you get HoV key on quaking week, it’s straight up discourage you to running HoV.
- Kyrakka and Erkhart in RLP, the combination of kyrakka’s fire spit and erkhart’s Interrupting Cloudburst is insane. Someone usually die after 2nd/3rd fire spit + interrupting cloudburst. Quaking make it become much huge problems right now.
Why? Hyrjas bubble and the mini boss before hyrja both have big enough bubbles where you don’t have to hit anyone with quaking. The only time it sucks is when it overlaps with thundering and bad spawns of thundering swirls
That was my first reaction too, but because he prefaced the concern with the amount of damage during storm, I’m suspecting this is a healer who is staring down the barrel of people dying and needing heals and being unable to cast without getting interrupted.
If it’s about spacing, yeah, non issue. If it’s a healing thing I’m a bit more sympathetic.
Do the now popular skip routes. Cutting out those frogs make a massive difference in timer.
I will say that, as a healer, the last boss of RLP is ridiculously troll with quaking. People with spit (often including myself) need to be topped immediately but between cloudburst and quaking there’s so little opportunity to get anything out.
This entire week is just utter hot garbage with fort raging + quaking.
An evoker feels almost mandatory because of AoE soothe and unfortunately for me, an evoker I am not.

Last 2 weeks weren’t too bad.
Next week is going to be unpleasant, but the 2 after will be alright.

TJS is 100% dead keys with this week affixes for pug.
TJS is the worst dungeon with Raging / Fortified / Quaking. Before 1st boss, they have a droplets that pulse AoE damage and they get raging buffs. After 1st boss, they have Panda minibosses / small sha explodes (they get raging buff) in like every pack. Then the last pack before the last boss is absolutely ridiculous with this week affixes. You basically need evoker + 2ish soothe users + battle res + lust in 1 group, that’s 100% restricted to make a group.
CoS is supposed to be one of the easiest key but it’s one of the worst key with this week affixes, any trash with raging buff can literally snipe anyone.
Fortified / Raging / Quaking should not exist ever
It’s just the way her fight in designed. It was like this in Legion too. Where HoV was basically a dead key on Tyrannical weeks. Due to the fact that her lightning aoe special gets increased damage the longer she is on that side. Which is painful as she cannot move while channeling it.
At least with the balls of ‘screw you melee’ if you don’t get hit, you take no damage. So the increased damage on those means nothing. I always find it weird when Blizzard gives bosses damage increases to abilities that are unavoidable. Sometimes it is designed to be a short dps check (like Raz’s stormsurge) but other times it is like, “why is this even a thing?”.
TBF, the 14-16 or so key range is more difficult than say, 18-20. Most people queuing for keys above an 18 have a pretty good idea what needs to be kicked, etc.
It’s almost like the negative affix system on infinitely scaling content is stupid. Affixes need to either be deleted or turned into only positive boons. This way it changes how you interact in a positive way by allowing you to try to maximize how you interact with the dungeon. Right now there’s just so much nonsense going on that just makes people not want to play
