Some advice on Classic Rogue

Hey everyone,

I have my heart set on maining a Rogue in Classic but I was not around when Vanilla was out. What builds/specs were good for PvE back then?

So far, I’ve read that Combat was the go-to back then… With swords(?) … or some sort of Seal Fate build I briefly read about, which I wasn’t clear about. Can anyone break this down for me?

combat for leveling and raiding and for pvp the cookie cutter sealfate/prep build was best.

Hemo build was really fun for pvp. Combat is boring as helllll though.

Combat swords. SSx5 then Eviscerate. Riposte when procs happen. Instant Poison on both weapons. For Pve alliance, roll human. For Pve horde, orc. Prior to what several people have said, rogues are not bad levelers. Very little downtime as your energy regenerates fast.
