Classic era doesn’t have all the changes SoM added. Faster leveling buff, summoning stones, raid content buffed, no world buffs, etc. etc. We’re talking about two different things

Pretty crazy how Blizz won’t even acknowledge the demand for SoM 2. I’m really hoping for an announcement sometime in Feb.
I know threats of unsubbing are kinda meme’d on, but I think there’s a decent chunk of players who won’t play beyond killing the Lich King if there is no progressive Vanilla server. Cata is more or less retail wow, hardly “classic”. There’s an argument to be made that even WotLK is not the MMO that vanilla is. You don’t have to agree with that, but it’s only fair that ppl get to play the version they want. Otherwise they just won’t play, which sucks for the game in general.

Blizzard royally messed up SoM1 and is bending WotLK classic over the barrel.

I mean I enjoyed some of the changes they gave us in SoM 1. I was def part of the no world buff crowd (although I wish Blizz just gave different servers to both crowds so each can play what they want) and I really enjoyed having the summoning stones in classic, saved a lot of time having to wait for others if you didn’t have a warlock who had shards available in the group
As Lazarak mentioned, hopefully they can make the next season better.

Why would you think blizzard can? They have ignored all customer feedback to date.
Because they did surveys to ask what we wanted and some of the features they added in SoM were from the surveys (world buffs, summoning stones, raid changes, etc.) which we saw in SoM 1. Hopefully they’ll survey again before SoM 2 (and/or classic+ in future) to see what the community wishes would be changed. Honestly I didn’t see much I didn’t like myself, but I only played up to the end of MC since I had to leave for IRL stuff and came back at the end towards the end when servers were pretty much empty. Not aware of any issues in later phases others may have experienced.
What survey said we wanted SOM as it was? What survey said we wanted the changes to wrath they’ve made?
Any changes they make won’t please everyone. I’m happy that a lot of the changes they included on the survey on whether we wanted that change or not were part of SoM as mentioned before (no world buffs in raids, summoning stones, raid content changes, leveling buff, etc.). I don’t remember them surveying before wrath though.
Of course no changes will please everyone.
They are making changed that retail has proven are not liked over all.
Yeah I didn’t play original wrath and have been playing the new wrath classic for a few months and it already feels way to “retail” like for me lol that’s why I’m waiting for a fresh classic and just playing around in classic era right now. Only thing I like about wrath is some of the class changes being more playable. I also don’t like the Northrend continent overall lol.
