I’ve decided to hold back on a new report.
Unfortunately all realms have dropped in active population including Jom although less significant there.
Season of Jom should have some lessons for Blizz.
Possibly realm locking or less realms.
Whew. Not only that’s a lot of people, it’s a pretty decent balance of both factions. I bet it’s hard to get quests done here lmao.

It’s not that bad. There’s layering and a lot of people tend to throw invites if they see you working on the same quest.

Thats not my intention, but I will say the overall populations on these realms are much higher. There are those that have been running their scans as they are playing on 1 realm and the numbers are still great. Barman for example does not only have 2k players, there are more as this was an average of the data points.
But if you are looking for a mega server than you can make some assumptions on the data.
I personally don’t play on Jom, but I understand why people flock to it.

Honestly Jom doesn’t seem that crowded and that’s thanks to the layering, I feel this is how the game should be ran moving forward, one Mega server with multiple layers.

Hopefully blizzard mergers low pop servers.

Toyhouze plays on Jom Gabbar and has the same census that you have obtained just randomly logging in and checking who is online and different times of day, and he runs it all day on there. Multiple cumulative census done on Barman Shanker and other servers indicate 10k+ unique logins throughout the day (excluding level 1s), which is only about half of what Jom Gabbar sees.
What this tells me is that there are more casuals on other servers, while there are more people just playing the game all day on Jom. It’s clear to me that Jom has the highest pop, but these censuses aren’t fair if you’re not comparing cumulative players from throughout the day.
Yep I understand that was not the intention of my census.
It was to see how many players are on each realm when you login to play versus total populations of people where a large chunk is offline.
I suspect other realms have more casual players as you and I have stated.
I hope everyone takes this in a way where they can enjoy playing whereever they want. Its only 2 weeks into SoM soon. All realms are ok.
1136 horde on SS right now. You basically took an average over 1.5 days and used hours that no one plays based on their timezone.
A better analysis would be to do it properly and run a census on both factions for each server every hour. Do this for 5 days and report back.

I included prime time hours and non. It was done the same way on each realm. Again it will not report every player.
All realms are OK.
SS is doing very well.
Except as you’ve seen from the responses to this thread, people think that other realms are “dead” and Jom is the only realm worth playing on.
What is prime time hours here?
Friday evening when most of us go out.
Sunday morning when people are enjoying their time with their significant others.

I’ve received plenty of positive feedback, more than negative on other platforms where this was posted. There will be some that see this as a threat to their realm and react rashily to it. This is data.
Take it as you wish. Enjoy the game.
Afternoon were taken at 6 which would generally be prime time. Night was taken at 9-10 server.
Sorry I cannot work with assumptions.

The best time to take a census is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the evening. That’s when most people are online.

I was asking him what his prime time hours were, since that is what he said he used to gather the data. He did not take any data on the days you listed.

No, but it is not the bible. Play where you wish. No reason to attack others.
All realms are doing fine.
This information is highly misleading, and un-helpful. Done at odd times, and on a holiday weekend. promoting this Mis-information only makes people second guess their servers. Any census should be ran over a week, at all times of the day.
