Not this again. SOM will be over and CLOSED soon in little more than 10 more months it is finished. Then from there you get to have the option of moving a SOM toon over into Classic. A SOM 2 is rumoured to launch but that may possibly be for TBC would be my best guess.
Blizzard told me that they plan to never implement server changes in SOM at any time.

My bro and I were levelling a Warrior + Priest on the once “High Population” Barman Shankar, it was great, we got really invested in our chars, but now the server is dead. We can’t get one reply looking for Scarlet Monastery groups during prime time, PVP wait times are always 1 Hour+, we’ll be in open world for hours and see less than 5 other players, there’s nothing for us to do but grind quests to get to 60.
We’ve decided to quit and Play FF14 until they get it figured out.
