I was a day 1 NF althought I didn’t get 60 until late Dec. That’s why I asked what was your name on NF and what guild. I got rank 11 on NF that’s it (pretty easily I might add). Maybe instead of creating your own reality and assumptions idk… read the room and realize that most people just want to be on the same server as some of their other toons.

See, I wish I could do that. But ultimately, whatever Blizzard lets our toons do, I’m going to be taking my SoM character to wrath. And it will sit and rot on the wrong server that I refuse to play on.

Anyone here in disagreement with the OP, is either in an “I don’t really care” position, yet really cares about NOT having SoM characters transfer to wrath. Or they just don’t care and move on. Thats what I’ve gleaned from all this.

“Its supposed to be SEASONAL that means all that hard work or gold buying or whatever should be GONE!” seems to be the general complaint. Yet, none of these people seem to think, sending all that illicit gold to one server is even a good idea, as opposed to spread across many servers that already have a screwed economy. None of these people have come up with a counter-argument to that. That, plus anyone who got Scarab Lord in SoM, is also spread out across servers, so its less of an overall impact to anyone playing on the servers you could transfer to. Please, please give me a solid counter-argument to that idea.

Then of course, you see most people generally agreeing, and just wanting to play their cool SoM characters with their friends on the servers they play on. Thats all most people are really asking for in this thread. The way I see it, its a net positive to let SoM characters go to their main servers. If it so happens to be Eranikus or whatever, so be it. Mine is going to Grobbulus, or it will simply rot on a server I don’t want to play on.

I am in the exact same boat. Swamp of sorrows died, there was literally noone left on it so it was either play a solo rpg or move to jom, which died for oceania anyway almost instantly. Now I have to move my character to whitemane or pay to transfer it to an oceanic server. This is blizzard attempting to cash in on its players once again, what a joke.

You knowingly chose to role on a seasonal realm. You then wanted your toon to not be a seasonal toon. Blizzard has now more than accommodated this. You now whine for more accommodations to the accommodations that weren’t a part of the initial agreement when you created your toon. Your entitled behavior and complete rejection of the original premise of SoM will hopefully ensure its never brought back again.

you are posting on the wrong thread - the decision was already made we are moving to WOTLK because of their core classic motto of friends/community and the the decision to force us to realms we have no connection too is simply wrong. I hope that you might realize that a bulk of players that played SOM were people who came back at the tail end or start of TBC that missed classic the first and second time that is why they made the choice to play classic again or people who just love classic so much they would play it over again being its a special thing blizzard provided. the seasonal aspect was not a selling point to anyone who played lmao why are you so caught up on this?

Please allow SoM OCE players to transfer to their respective OCE Classic Era/Wrath realms!!! Oceanic players only transferred to/started toons on Jom Gabbar so they had other players to play with…

Yeah that’s a really odd thing to say.
I had to look twice and see if this was the same guy jonesing for a transfer that called SoM a “waste of time” but it’s not. Or maybe it is just posting on a different character.

Hope the bug fix is going well and there’s an update soon.
Blizzard, please consider adding one more destination to the list: Earthfury.
Show them some love. Make up for the mistakes.

Here’s the thing. Sure, it was a seasonal realm and we knew that. However, well before Wrath classic came out Blizzard announced that we would be able to transfer our characters to it at some stage. Knowing this, I put a lot more effort into my character and professions, and altered my Wrath prep. Is it a huge deal? No, not really. It just feels like hope was given and then taken away.

Not enough to have an oceanic raid. The only raid I could possibly get to would be a midday raid on a Sunday, but I personally have a life. Otherwise I’d have to raid at midnight, which also wouldn’t suit having a life.

It didnt matter to me that it was “seasonal” or a 12 month cadence it was just a way to play the game i love to play because i personally missed classic both times it was out by a few weeks each time. I truly do not feel the seasonal was a selling point or something people were excited about to spend +months played time to see a character deleted? We play this game to build and create personifications of ourselves and to see that deleted after investing so much time is very disheartening.
