What is this?

SoM: A Fresh Start is an opportunity for Horde players to start anew.

This will be a coordinated Fresh Start on Friday 1/14 @ 6pm EST on the Barman Shanker server.

Why is this?

Through multiple cross-server interactions over the past couple of weeks, it has become clear that many players are unhappy with their current server.

We wanted to give these players, and many others, an opportunity to transition as easy as possible to a new server.

Level 60 Assistance!

Getting ganked? Need dungeon assistance to get those quests done?

We got your back! Level 60s on Barman Shanker will be there to help you level should you need it!

FREE BAGS! We will be present in all 3 starting zones to hand out bags and some money!

As an added bonus, 8PM EST(2 hours after the even launch) we will be dropping an Onyxia head to buff all levelers!

What Is Barman Shanker Like?

Barman Shanker is a medium population server with a ratio of about 57% Alliance to 43% Horde.

Barman Shanker is home to some amazing guilds such as:

**The OranThul:**(`https://discord.gg/oranthul`) The 1st US Horde guild to clear MC & Ony. Raid times are Friday 8:30 PM - 12:30 AM + Optional Saturday 8:30 PM - 12:30 AM EST. Home to the first 3 Rank 14s on the server! 

**<RAID ONE>**:(https://discord.com/invite/raidone) Semi Hardcore MMO Raiding guild. 6/10 in MC and a will to progress further.. Raid Days are Sat/Sun 7-10 pm server

**The Wild Hunt:** Semi-Hardcore raiding and PvP guild. Currently 5/10 MC and actively progressing. Raid times are Tues/Wed 9:00PM - 12:00AM 

There will also be a guild waiting for you called “SOM FRESH START” that can serve as a temporary guild for those that want to coordinate leveling groups together.

The OranThul: The guild of the streamer who will promise to help you and stop the second you no longer benefit him. He always makes an excuse that you betrayed him as an excuse as well.

Raid One: The clique guild that will not help you, will even ignore you even if you’re standing in front of them. At least the toxic streamer from OT responds with insults.

The Wild Hunt: Their GM likes to throw racial slurs at smaller guilds in /4 for fun when threatened.

Don’t even bother with them tbh, a lot of people left Barman horde because of these three not to mention the lack of population to run groups.

Nekrage deleted the prior version of this thread to try and hide our comments. Stop trying to whitewash your behavior.

First, the facts:
Nekrage has gkicked a large number of players from his guild over the past months for various reasons. He now has to resort to recruiting via the in-game LFG channel and on the forums. Despite that he continues to demand a lot from his playerbase. Yet, there is a bracket breaker on the server who is not affiliated with ANYONE and Nekrage still allows that player to play in his discord. 60% of the top brackets are players in Nekrage’s guild who are being hurt by this.

I have screenshots of Nekrage demanding PVPers stop ranking and come sit around waiting for world boss spawn, or they will be gkicked. This was prior to him starting his own 20/7 bracket breaking grind, of course.

I have screenshots of OranThul guildies saying they are not allowed to group with certain people for PVP (that Nekrage has a personal vendetta against) or they will be kicked from the Cross Server Premades discord. But Nekrage refuses to kick the unaffiliated bracket breaker from that discord, even though it would help his own guildies.

Now, my opinion, hopefully in a sufficiently polite form to survive moderation:
I don’t like Nekrage. I don’t think he is a good player. I don’t think he treats his guildies well. I don’t think that his policies are fair. I don’t think you will enjoy playing with him. I don’t think you should come to Barman Shanker.

I was never going for bracket 1 or rank 14. I haven’t been personally harmed by Nekrage. Just tired of seeing him mistreat other people privately while pretending to be a good guy in public. He needs to be called out. Especially as a streamer with a platform his behavior sucks.
