SoM 2.0 -- Why Premades Need To Go

No, you’re obviously going to do whatever you want. No one will tell you what to do!! No one else matters, playing smart doesn’t matter.

Your type is fairly common and expected and most of the time the honor your type gets isn’t hard to go over so it’s whatever.

I mean, I explained my position earlier in the thread. I’ve made a lot of friends while ranking/premading and that’s why I ranked so many times in Classic so shrug.

HPH focus has to be expected though when some selfish people don’t want to work as a team, like the guy I was talking to.

If people like the solo pugging thing that really is ok, and it’s fine to suggest stuff for SoM 2.0.

Why shouldn’t I be able to do whatever I want, I literally pay for my own sub fee.

Just admit it, you guys want to control the brackets instead of compete.

It’s not a team effort, it’s a competition to get the most HpH. You want handouts and control.

Personally I don’t even care about rank, I’m more about busting your brackets now.

I got all the time in the world.

Well you obviously are, aren’t you? I literally pay my sub fees too (2 of them) but I’m not selfish, I do a lot for others. You care about yourself only but for some unclear reason decided to play an MMO. Not everyone is the same.

Correct because bracket stacking is #1 Smart and #2 A much more enjoyable way to rank for most.

As I said I ranked one of my characters to 14 in Classic using FFA. I even hid my numbers to trick people. It was the least fun ranking I did, by far, team play with stacking was WAY better.

Spoken like someone who should be playing an FPS or a MOBA not an MMO.

Nice. That’s a very nice thing you are doing for the players on Shadowstrike.

Your reaction is actually very common. You aren’t the first and you won’t be the last, if anyone wants to know why premades need to focus on HPH so much it’s because of people like this guy.

You may have made friends. Most people aren’t interested in that. They claim it’s social, but they get their gear and check out.

Also, premading isn’t a word. :disappointed:

I’m playing my tiny violin for the bracket mafia.

I always find it odd when people define MMOs as having to work together. They could just as easily be defined as working against each other with modes of play where you do work together. Or can be defined as everybody doing their own thing but in a shared world with a shared economy. When in fact it’s all of these things. People enjoy MMOs in different ways. For some people, a shared economy is the only variable that matters to them and why they enjoy MMOs. That’s just as valid as how you enjoy MMOs.

An MMO is simply a shared online experience in a persistent world.

Fishy like your fake French potato soup?

I’m glad it hasn’t been like that for me, but I’m not saying this isn’t true sometimes. I know you’ve always prefer pugging and have a lot of fun playing ret as well (where even pugs sometimes get mad at you for not healing). That’s all totally ok.

I mean you will do what you want, I called you out for what you clearly are (selfish, probably outside of the game too). Now Shadowstrike will premade to get better HPH than you and they will need to play more games to get more honor while you “try to prove” something that actually proves nothing, and people on here will be mad at premades for pug stomping and going for HPH so… whose fault is that? Right. It’s cause and effect.

I guess, and I get your point, but they are other game genres that do “working against each other” better. A lot of MMORPGs don’t even have PVP as any sort of focus anymore, it’s mostly about cooperation. Even with WoW outside of Vanilla/Classic/SoM the gear is PVP gear is obtained totally differently with more focus on the individual or just a person and a few friends.

I actually said several times in this thread that your suggestions for SoM 2 are fine, that’s it’s fine that some people prefer BG pugging, and yes people play for different reasons. I had to call that guy out though, sorry.

I know of several folks who hopped into pre-made teams to gear up or rank up, and that’s it. They had no interest in participating. I’m sure aome like-minded folks were actually interested in organized PvP. That’s why I suggest RBGs.

That would be flaky, not fishy.

Those players need to seriously reevaluate their choices if they are actually willing to jump into a premade for practically a full time job’s hours (or more if r12+) and not have any intention of making friends.

I know a lot of people in original classic who went to 14 for only the gear and not to be a dedicated pvper but pretty much all of them walked out with plenty of friends they often did pug raiding and general hanging out in discord after the ranking was done.

It would take some advanced levels of social ineptitude to play a game with the same people for 10+ hours a day and not be friends with at least some of them.

I’m not sure how much time you have spent in one of these hard core ranking discords but it’s basically like being around the most bitter people you could imagine.

Welcome to the Vanilla honor system, it’s literally a competition within it’s own fact, not against the opposing faction.

Everyone that shoots for top ranks knew what they were getting into at the start. They don’t have to put in the hours.

But here you are still somehow trying to justify the harassing and black listing.

Do you even comprehend how upside down your logic is?

Bracket stacking is a good thing.

Breaking brackets doesn’t benefit anyone. Not even the guy breaking - he’s just grinding more for the same amount of ranking points.

Basically, if you are willing to ruin other people’s grinds just because you feel like it, they are entitled from not grouping up with you anymore, because you are obviously overwhelmed by the minimum possible amount of social organization and they have no way of explaining to you that you should care about other people.

I’m VERY aware of how the honor system works. I’m also very aware of how to make the system work for you and how to not. There’s always at least one anti-social type in the mix who wants to prove something but doesn’t actually prove anything. It just makes it so everyone else has to play harder. You also don’t think pool boosting should be a thing so you really don’t seem to get the concept of playing smarter, not harder.

For actual harassment, you can (and should) report that to Blizzard. There’s even an email address for it.

Blacklisting from groups is a player choice thing and is a result of your actions where you show that you don’t want to play nice with others. Look at your attitude towards those on Shadowstrike and ask yourself why people should be inviting you to guilds and raids when you say right here that you only care about yourself. Who’s to say you won’t ninja loot and similar? I’ve seen ninja looters say the same thing, “I pay for my sub so I deserve it”.

How many people would be liking your stuff if you admitted to ninja looting a ZG tiger?

That’s why I’m being harsh to you. I’d rather be respectful of others opinions but I see through what you’re doing.

one of these re-launches I’ll play for PvP and I’ll do nothing but blow the brackets every week just to hear the cries.

blacklist? it still says ‘in queue’ so suck it, nerd! lmaolololololol neeener neeener.

i’ll do it next SoM.

As I said, we have no way of explaining to you that you should care about other people. You either do or you don’t.
