Solved: Unable to load the in-game shop

For anyone finding this thread via Google later - the problem was solved.

The solution was to open the Config.wtf file and add this line: SET ForceAllowAero “0”

I am unable to buy a wow token for cash. When I click “buy” in the store, the screen darkens and a window pops up, but that window never populates and I’m unable to complete the transaction. I have waited up to 30 minutes per attempt for the window to populate with no results.

After googling others with the same issue, I have tried:

  • Using a VPN (TunnelBear)
  • Disabling all security software & firewall
  • Booting to safe mode with networking
  • Resetting IE settings to default and rebooting
  • Disabling all addons

All result in the same problem persisting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Example of the problem: imgur . com / maQF5hj.jpg

Edit: I’m unsure why the title of my post was edited to say unable to load the in-game shop. That was not the title I entered. The in-game shop loads just fine, it is the checkout window for WoW tokens that won’t load.

Have you tried a different browser.

And a follow up not necessarily in order, do you by chance use Razr mouse?

At one time the software suite was causing issues with the store. I am not sure if that has been resolved yet, so I figure worth throwing that question out there.

Use a different browser, how? The purchase can only be completed via the in-game buy option, according to the bliz store.

No, I am not using any type of gaming mouse or mouse enhancement software.

Ah my bad. I thought tokens were bought out of game.

I have only ever purchased one. I apologize.

No worries, I appreciate the thought and attempt.

I would take this a step further and do a Full UI Reset. Even if you reach out to support directly, they will make the same suggestion as a part of troubleshooting.

You’ve done some great steps so far. Be sure to leave your security/anti-virus temporarily disabled after you’ve reset your UI to be sure that it’s not blocking it too.

If you need to, you can Contact Billing via Live Chat for more help too.

Edit:

I’ve made that same mistake before too

I followed those steps and tried again, with all security software disabled, both on a VPN and not. Same results.

I was hoping that would do the trick :frowning:

Reach out to Billing via the link I provided and be sure to let them know what you’ve tried so far too. Hopefully they can lend a hand!

Edit: Come to think, it could possibly be an overlay too like Discord or something similar. If you have any of those that load when a game loads (NVIDIA has one for example) then try disabling that too.

No overlays loaded, no 3rd party software running other than the Battlenet client.

Sounds like reaching out to billing will be the best bet. Thank you for trying.

If you have any security software running, try disabling that, sometimes those have been known to block the store.

As mentioned in the OP, all security software is disabled. I have also tried booting to safe mode with networking, both with the same result.

THANKYOU SO MUCH HOLY ****, your solution worked, spread the word everyone

Didn’t work for me, I’ve seen countless unanswered threads on this very issue. Checkout loads once outta a thousand tries. Really weird how this is an issue for me mid BFA (8.2 or so) Before that I was able to have a normal check out screen without a problem.
