I was at max renown before I made the switch from Venthyr to Night Fae two days ago. I completed every single quest you needed to complete to be all caught up prior to switching covenants. I had a mission board, the anima conductor etc… I am now sitting at renown 4 (Night Fae) with no indication in my quest log to “Go pick up a quest @…”. There aren’t anymore campaign quests either that I can pick up in the “Heart of the Forest”. I only get seem to get callings that give rewards (gold etc). This is pretty frustrating as I spent quite a bit of time re-doing the campaign quests a second time all to hit a ceiling with no explanation of what to do. I also submitted a ticket but the response wasn’t very helpful at all as it seemed to be a “Sorry we have a bunch of tickets-> check out wowhead and reset your ui/disable addons etc”… Has anybody else encountered this? I am having the exact same issue. I switched from Kyrian to Night Fae though. I put in a ticket and got pretty much the same response you did. I am not sure what to do now.
I am having exactly the same problem.
I was on Kyrian covenant with Renown 6 and switched to Night Fae today. I did the introductory questline and skipped the sanctum tutorial (right before soulbinding with Nyia), as I already did the tutorial in another char. As expected, I didn’t receive any quests in this part, so didn’t receive any renown upgrade either.
After that, I received and completed without problems the two weekly quests for increasing the renown and reached the renown 4.
As I did not receive a renown in some part, I could not reach renown 5 to continue the convenant campaign and reach renown 6. I am completely stuck on renown 4/6 and campaign 2/9, without quests in ‘Heart of the Forest’ and any other place.
Tried relogging, disabling addons, etc, etc,etc, nothing works.
I’m stuck at renown 4 despite not changing my covenant. Can’t progress, can’t gain renown despite trying the ‘end game’ content that’s meant to help you catch up
A friend of mine reached Renown 6 today after switching from Kyrian. It was the first Night Fae char, so he didnt skip and received all renown.
EDIT: After getting ‘Calling’ today, I realized that in my quest log showed ‘2/3 Completed Callings’ and after turning in it rewarded me with a Emblem of Renown, so now I am able to continue the covenant campaign and reach renown 6/6
That’s strange. I’ve been at renown 4 for the last couple days and I know for a fact I’ve completed every single calling that popped up on the covenant page. I’ve yet to complete the one “awarded” today and I don’t think I skipped anything as this is my first Night Fae covenant character. Hopefully completing this next “calling” does the trick then.
EDIT: I just accepted the last calling of the x/3 callings i guess you NEED to do and the quest indicates i’ll also receive my renown token to progress to renown 5. It seems like there is some time-gating going on in terms of being able to catchup your renown after switching covenants as you can only progress as fast as the “callings” come in.
(This took me like 3 days i think to be able to do them all)
This doesn’t seem to be a bug i suppose. Just wished there was more info so I didn’t have to submit all these tickets.
I wouldn’t really say this is solved. I had all 3 callings available, completed them and some dungeons and got nothing. Blizzard has been incredibly vague about this and really need to make it clearer or implement a system that actually allows you to catch up
I can’t get past renown 2 after switching covenants. I have no callings, and no campaign missions to do. I’ve done 3+ dungeons, won an epic battleground, and I still haven’t gotten a single renown
Exactly the same for me. I messaged blizz and gave me a copy paste, no actual help.
One friend said they just threw renown at him and caught up super fast, yet I’m stuck at like 5 with nothing dropping renown.
What was the solution?

I am currently having the same problem, Night Fae to Venthyr. I randomly get a renown after dungeons but not at a great rate. Any idea how long it takes to go from 1 - 21?
So this is marked as solved, but not actually fixed in any way?
