I completed the achievement Undermine Safari on Feb 26th, but Lettuce is not on my pet journal.
Came here to post this. Really dumbfounded how this error keeps being made with this specific type of achievement. It took them way too long to fix Waxwick after launch, and that wasn’t the first time.
Did you look in your bags? The achievement awards an item that teaches you the pet. The pet doesn’t get automatically added to your collection.
Yeah just found that now. Waxwick didn’t work that way for me so I was expecting it to be automatically learned. Most of the newer achievements have been doing direct awards, especially all the mounts, so that’s a bit unexpected.
Blizzard is very consistent in their inconsistency. You have to develop a mental checklist for awards like that:
- Directly added to collection?
- Item that teaches the collectible?
- Currency to buy the collectible from a vendor?
- Something that comes in the mail later?
- And probably something else I can’t remember.

Solved now. A bad filter on a bag addon was hiding the pet and I missed it.
It wasn’t really a bug, but I think we can all agree that they could choose one method and stick with it, instead of the many ways we’re currently getting some pet rewards.
Anyway, thanks, I’ll try to close the post or change the title to reflect its status.
