[Solved] Cannot create new macros

This goes for classic and retail.

I cannot create new macros, the macros I have on retail work, the ones that exist but when I go to create a new one, nothing happens.
I’ll go through the process, hit new select and icon but it wont let me type in the box until after hitting save, after that I can type in the box but still nothing happens.
The macros doesn’t show up, and it was not created. I hope that makes sense.

I’ve tried, clearing cache, fresh install, disabling all addons, all the normal common sense stuff to do.
That being said I don’t know if disabling addons would remove any ill effect or if there’s some sort of residual process so here’s my addon list.

Gatherlite

rare scanner
Weapon swing timer

This is for classic, but the problem persists on retail.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated :slight_smile:

Are your script errors enabled? If not, 

/console scriptErrors 1
and then try to make a macro and see if you get an error.

Addons can definitely cause this behavior. Try disabling the ones shared between the two clients.

Hey man thanks for replying, forgot to update this as solved.

For whatever reason it started working on the second reinstall, but only when retail was completely installed (was playing classic) no idea why it had to wait for retail, no idea what broke it before (I get soft D/Cs a lot and have to alt f4 possibly why), no idea why I had to reinstall twice.
So reinstalling fixed it eventually!
