Open a few PVE realms and allow free transfers from every single PVP realm.
I actually think Blizz should do that, and apologise for the situation and promise to address it.
They would generate a lot of customer goodwill.
Of course they’d really have to find ways to fix the whole Horde dominating pvp servers situation. Or at least, appear to be doing it.
Keeping silent is not a great move, even if understandable for a few days while they digest the data.
Why should they apologize for idiots rolling on PvP servers when they should have rolled PvE?
Dear lord.
First off, Blizzard never apologizes for anything. Second, you knew what you were getting into when you rolled on a PvP server. Re-roll a new character on a PvE server if it bothers you that much.
In before alliance players say something like:
“But it’s not that I don’t WANT to PvP, and I like being able to attack and be attacked at any time. I just don’t like being attacked relentlessly while I am in the open world farming or going to a dungeon. I want world PvP. I just don’t want to be attacked more often than I do the attacking. I want to be the one doing the killing, I don’t like dying to others but I do enjoy ganking others.
Blizzard doesn’t need to apologize. Sorry if you’re that childish. Sure, give the transfers, but no apology is needed. Or are some people that insecure over a game?
SOLUTION TO PVP COMPLAINTS
Easy.
Remove PvP. It does nothing positive for the game anyway, just get rid of it. You can see the number of angsty teen Horde players (that are prving that Horde players are terrible people) attacking any Alliance player that dares to say anything about PvP right here on the forums. Even in this very thread.
I genuinely do not care what Horde players in imbalanced servers think. You are just worried your prey is getting away. Same applies to Alliance in Heart.
LOL my server is 49% Horde 51% Alliance. But nice job trying to poison the well.
Sounds like PvP happened on a PvP server.
What are you worried about then? If it is balanced then no one has a reason to transfer.
Blizz just needs to release BG’s early since they were unable to address the faction imbalance.
F R E S H Best idea I’ve heard so far.
Don’t listen to those PVP elitist trolls.
The Vanilla PVP release was never like that due to multiple factors.
- Size of servers
- The fact that we had 15 years to learn min/max
Yes PVE transfers is a solution but there’s also others that you can do on a PVP server while the situation calmdown.
I do like pvping a lot but the big raid meta is kinda stupid and pointless since it’s not efficient if you want to farm honor. So I have my solutions to get out of their ways.
- I farm gold in zones that I can get good 1v1.(Silithus caves for rogues)
- I do more instances (Pickpocket BRD and trying to get some BiS/reagents)
- Play with a group of 5 guildies.
- Level a profession.
You have to take into account that everything you’ll do will take more time for the next weeks.
I’m a terrible player?! I killed a level 37 Human Warrior over and over again last night in STV and never once got a thank you from him/her in /e. Not only are Alliance bad for not being able to kill someone 5 levels higher than them they are also incredibly rude for not thanking me for providing them the experience they signed up for.
I never said I had any worries. Was referring to the individual you replied to.
Release TBC, easy FIX
I don’t see how this solution can bother anyone with good intentions. Expectations regarding PvP were quite different from what is happening. I personally only raid log so I have not been affected by any of this, but I can tell my faction is going to lose players during this phase. I would much rather stop the bleeding.
I farmed lvl 50 horde in Ungoro for two hours last night while they flailed around like dims. I don’t think they had a very good time getting camped repeatedly.
They did. Horde actually enjoy pvp.
