Solution for Long Dungeon Wait times. Tanks and Healers Not Necessary Anymore!

The Wow dungeon system is based on the trinity system 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 dps. That is the class composition requirement to enter a dungeon. So I think that perhaps the answer is
to change it so that all dungeons now come with automatic NPC tank and NPC healer.
That cannot fail to do a more than human job to run a dungeon without wipes. Yes
guaranteed successful dungeon runs.

Regardless of your class when you enter the dungeon you can dps or just follow along to end boss. This would be a fantastic change for impatient go, go, go players who claim dungeon groups are too slow and waste their time. Along with a lengthy wait time to even enter the dungeon.

Just imagine These fully automated NPC tanks and healers can give the impatient players
a super fast run lasting 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes. You don’t even have to dps. Just run behind these NPCs. Don’t even have to worry about making mistakes. Go ahead, stand in pools of fire, poison, dark magic. Run into packs of mobs or pull the entire room. The NPC tank will hold aggro and the healer will keep you topped off. Now I ask you how good is that! And think of the time you save for more important things to do with your valuable time, like watching reruns of Judge Judy.

They are already doing this

Why even have a dungeon run then? Just mail players loot they would get from every successful dungeon run with their NPC pals.
At the same time, create a single player game where these successful NPC-run dungeons are necessary, and send players there instead.

Normally I would be against this…but you know what, if that’s what the people who actually run Heroic want, go for it. With the current M+ tuning and ease of getting reasonable gear from world content, you can skip Heroic altogether so it doesn’t affect me.

If anything, I’m sure this will make running heroics less efficient because every dungeon will take longer.

Took me between 20 and 30 minutes to run Ruby Life Pools when I let the NPCs lead on the PTR. I didn’t time it. The AI tank actually waited between pulls if there was damage or my priest needed to recover a little mana. I thought it was nice.

I thought the AI Dungeons were limited to Normal…what do you mean, “I didn’t time it?”

This games dungeons are saved. They must keep the AI going forward.

The literal meaning of the words… I didn’t have a stopwatch going to time how long it took. It took longer than 5 minutes though.

I don’t even care about mythic+.

CHECK THE MAIL!? Elitist!

The loot I’m already wearing should just have the ilvls added!

If you try this out on the PTR, it’s definitely a lot longer than 5 minutes. 20-30 minutes at minimum. Most of the time it’ll be a lot faster to run through the dungeon with a group of actual players.

They have designed it and it is currently being tested on Normal dungeons only.

At this time we really have no idea of its ultimate use. Could be a test for Delves. Could be used only in Normal and for only dungeons during Dragonflight. Could go gamewide. We just don’t know.

What? I tested it and it didn’t take that long. Well, it might be longer for Brackenhide Hollow, I didn’t try that, but the ones I did were done in under 10m.

World of DPScraft…:frowning:

Another day, about bad bait thread from OP.

Or, DPS can just, be nice to tanks and healers. Literally all it’d take.

because of the afore mentioned issues with queue times? lmao.
or the self serving attitudes of so many in those runs?
I’ll play with AI, thanks.

what are you rambling on about? lol
Flip the toggle and let the AI tank pull and it goes as fast as it SHOULD go.
I mean, maybe youre talking about those self serving Details obsessed tanks who pull everything in site and hope a wipe doesnt happen to waste my game time with, lol
The AI run takes just about as long as a normal run should

Uldum takes about 10-12 minutes…15 tops.

I actually don’t mind taking my time. I won’t be running dungeons repeatedly anyway…

Thanks Lightstrider that is great news. You just made my day!
