Solution for alliance

Cap IBGY! lmao

We actually lost one last night because of this.

Pug alliance wont take IB GY unless horde gives it to them.

IBGY has the strongest defense of any GY and the hardest to assault for alliance.

Add that your cave is closer to IB GY then SH GY is for alliance

AND you rez 2x as many people per 30 second cycle in the cave.

IF horde wants to keep alliance from having IB GY it’s easy to do… Thanks to the map horde bias.

And of course Alliance has to defend SH gy while assaulting IB gy as well.

I mean, it -is- possible… it’s just exceedingly hard, because you have so many factors stacked against you, and that’s assuming that the Alliance team is all cooperating, rather than AFKing or off trying to kill Lieutenants instead of taking/defending the graveyard.

Of all the trolling I see Horde players do on these forums concerning AV, I’ve yet to see a single one of them attempt to refute the argument that IBGY is nearly impossible to cap for a PUG. And given that it is essential to eventually winning the game, your average PUG has almost no chance of winning, which is what we see in the statistics. The only reason it was possible with premades is because you didn’t have a bunch of bots and you could stack healers to sustain the assault.

I saw alliance try once for like 15 mins… then their druids got killed and they all went afk again. lmao

Uh huh, sure bud.

Anyway, this has gone beyond ridiculous, and not a single mention from the powers that be. Absolutely zero customer care from this rubbish company.

So, how do we get their attention? Social media?

have you considered it’s not a problem?

Never change, WoW forum

It is without a doubt a problem. Hundreds, thousands of people are upset over this.

Don’t do this, because then you have 25 horde recall and come back and take it. Did I mention they take SHGY too? Then you’re stuck at SPGY because we have no where else to spawn.

IB is the horde crutch that keeps giving… retail is the same.

Alliance should be boycotting it tbf

Oh, of course there’s no problem. A nearly 100% win rate is just natural and normal. No problem at all (so long as you play horde).

this. you have to outplay horde by such a large margin to cap IBGY. That’s why premades even had trouble doing so.

Alliance get no break from horde while defending and don’t rez anywhere near it.

you have to cap sfgy, defend it, and cap ibgy and defend it, simultaneously to ever have a chance. And horde will just completely abandoned offense to hit sfgy with 20+ because once they take it, IBGY will go back to horde and then alliance are stuck on defense playing the cave game.

game is legit broken if horde actually play the game to the maps advantages.

You do understand how easy it is for Horde to defend IBGY right?

Iceblood GY is a amazing choke point, having one way in and two ways out, with fire support from a nearby tower.

Assuming equal skill and gear, alliance will usually fail to push through if it’s defended.

That’s why we have things like ram riders and ground assaults to send stronger NPCs forward and bust through, in most cases Alliance will need to use these game mechanics to win that fight.

LOL… If Horde controls IB GY they likely control SH GY by the time ram riders show up…

That means They can AOE them down all the way from SP GY… I’ve seen ram riders summed 4 times and not once did they reach icewing bunker.

Assuming that’s true aren’t you aren’t spewing hyperbole, then blame blizzard for giving us 1.12 AV every npc had reduced health and damage at this point, at least 15-30% weaker overall. Those are the intended tools to break stalemates, no one’s fault but blizzard for nerfing them 15 years ago and for releasing it in this state again.

All of this absolutely stems from Blizzard’s decision to give us 1.12 instead of the actual version of AV we remember as being part of vanilla. I find it extremely ironic that they did that even as they gave the Korrak version of AV (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) to retail as part of the anniversary event.
