Soloing question

Okay. I am not a newb, but I am having trouble here. Apparently, I have am either not understanding something about BFA dungeons or completely can’t do this. I play a BM Hunter and would love to solo the BFA dungeons to get some of the achievements done. I am trying to get the Dark Iron Dwarves and the Kul Tiran stuff done, plus just complete some of my quests. I was going to try and solo because I have done that for other expansions at max level. Unfortunately, it seems not possible on my hunter. Even tried it on my Demon Hunter. Both max level characters. My question is this, am i doing something wrong or is this just not possible. If it is, can someone give me some advice on another class. I would run with others, but it seems that whenever I have time to do these dungeon runs, no one else is queued. I do not currently belong to a guild, so I can not go that route either. Any help/advice would be awesome. Thanks. Oh and right now I am on Bleeding Hollow server.

Most players won’t be able to solo dungeons, particularly at your gear level. Have you tried queing for dungeons or are you against any sort of group content?

Generally no one outside a few tank classes can solo current dungeons until near the end of the xpac when when everyone is crazy overgeared.

Actually BM hunters have always been able to solo content fairly easily. It was pretty common last xpack for people to solo Mythic Karazhan for a chance at the mount! But agreed, other than that it is normally just tank classes!

Thanks for the responses. Not against group content, just would prefer not to group with random people I do not know at all. I have had some bad experiences in the past, so I like to group with a guild or friends. But, as a I stated previously, whenever I have time to do these dungeons, no one else is queued. I guess many people have friends or belong to guilds. So, soloing BFA dungeons is not possible? That kinda stinks, since to get the dark iron dwarves and finish preparing the Kul Tiran rep stuff, you need to run dungeons. So, I guess unless I get into a guild, will not be completing these.

have not seen much on BFA solo success yet. Looking at more intense soloing myself. So been hitting sites. If people are doing it they’d be the “pro’s” at it. or that funny and odd case of the 110 DH who ran a dungeon solo (want to say mother load, not 100% sure there).

that DH was a case of the game supporting legendary effects up to 115 as I recall but the game doesn’t know how to handle it (same basis for the famed up to 115 twink power level workaround a bit back).

In the meantime gear up, maybe become a master chef for the good food and source some flasks and runes. Not sure of you skills there so if there…cool. this is what I am doing anyway.

never cared about cooking till now. I have been running DH mains mostly. Souls, the breakfast of champions up till now lol. Have a nice BM hunter. Between these 2 classes something has to give at some point lol.

Thanks for the advice. I have trouble finding any groups to run with. Do the dungeon finder and nothing pops. It is very frustrating. I would join a guild, but I always have trouble deciding how to go about doing this and deciding on a good fit. There is also the problem of joining a guild and not having any help to run dungeons. This is so frustrating. I would switch servers, but again, do not know where to start and not going to waste my money if I switch and nothing happens.

Hi Canagan,

I was in your shoes in trying to figure out a guild. Here is my advice.

Go to the Raider IO website and look up guilds on your server. Look for guilds that are Raiding at a level that you feel comfortable with. If you new to the game consider a mid tier Normal Raiding guild. Write the names of a couple of guilds down.

Then do a / who in the game using the guild name and whisper the players.

Ask about who you would contact to learn more about the guild and recruitment.

Make sure to ask lots of questions so it’s a good fit.

Good Luck to you!

Thanks for the advice. I will try that.

I am currently a Blood DK - item lvl 402 - have been soloing BfA dungeons - first did The Motherlode - item lvl 370 - did Atal for Yazma item lvl 390 - it is possible to do them - took me roughly 35 minutes for Atal

As BM Hunter with i422 i ran Normal Motherload yesterday killing everthing and hardly lost an health. I was able to unlock the DID allied race months ago with barely i400 using stealth and skipping couple bosses and several adds to the final boss and doing whatever comes after-i cant remember what came after Motherload but soloed. If this was mentioned in earlier sorry, i didnt read all of them

holy necro bud. The post was from Feb.

I solo too. Just submitted a Suggestion to Blizz on the Help in Game, and posted on this forum. It is ridiculous that thy make it nearly impossible to do somethings solo, no matter what level. Try to do a dungeon with the Impala spell. Your dead if you don’t have multiple players. We pay to play. They take our money, they try to make us stop playing. I’ve played for 8+ years, it has never been this bad.

I solo’d every dungeon through BofA - prior to the Shadowlands squish - with my DK and was able to do some with my Paly - the DK was better as Frost, but I did do it as Blood also. I never had the “best” gear, but had the best gear I could get without raiding as I dont have the patience for raid party BS. Once Shadow came out I got bored, had been playing since beta for 2004 WOW. I just returned today because the new expac and the purchase 1 year sub, grant some cool toys and mounts and Dragon looks like it might make WOW fun (for me) again
