Has anyone here tried this? I cannot even get tarragrue down.
No matter what I do, the chains debuff expires and I can’t range him, and i end up eventually dying to a 4 or 5 million damage hit.
Is it literally impossible to solo him?
Re-roll powers until you get a stun immunity. The major damage from that mechanic comes from the 30-second stun component.

Have you actually managed to do this as dps? I tried again and did get the powers needed but ultimately die without significant healing. Is there a specific power lineup you need or should i just grab a healer
Haven’t tried it, personally. Even though Shadowlands has legacy loot enabled, there is no damage buff, so more gear will still likely be required depending on class and spec.
It’s possible to solo Tarragrue, but you’ll struggle a little until we get more gear. As TheCheatt said, you want the absorb shield with stun immunity anima power to avoid the 30 second stun. You’ll also need to play very carefully towards the end of the fight when he enrages, popping defensives (or kiting) and burning him down before he melees you to death.
The Eye is also pretty frustrating to solo, as it’s totally down to RNG. Your character has to get lucky dodging every single chains pull.
Rest of the raid is pretty easy (except Fatescribe, who gives you a nasty dot when failing the runes, so you need to burn him down from 65% fast) until you hit KT and realize you need two people.
