On my tanks I can solo almost anything. It’s slow but steady. The problem I run into are mechanics you can’t cheese by yourself but they require at least two people.
Dungeons can definitely be done alone. There’s crazy people who solo raid bosses when they’re still the current expansion. Even Mythic+ dungeons have been soloed by them too.
And DH. Managed to solo Normal Mode Gul’dan during Legion. Which was pretty insane considering they had to wait 30 minutes for the enrage debuff to wear off.
I’ve gotten a small bit into mother lode and didn’t hate it.
was one of the days the family agro in background was saying yeah you aren’t getting time to focus here so I pulled it early. Will try on a better day perhaps.
For solo see the internet. Cliff notes would include decent ilevel 410/420 a usual good start.
Raid food, runes and flask…every little bit helps.
and certain classes do it better. Something with some tank and dps advised. Tank > greater than DPS preferred imo. You will be a punching bag and you won’t be kicking the dps to drop stuff quickly.
I always used to solo dungeons while leveling. You got good xp and completion bonus. I would always get several levels out of Magisters’ Terrace.
They took that away because they decided retroactively it was an exploit to do anything but lockstep questing while leveling, and people who had been fighting their way through dungeons while leveling were actually cheating.
The game is poorer for all the leveling options that have been removed to force us into on rails leveling.
That’s kind of saddening…you can get yourself so strong that you can solo modern dungeons? Not really against it but isn’t dungeons supposed to be challenging to where you do need a group for them?
Is that not why Blizzard introduced Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic Plus dungeons? To make them harder? But you have various people who have stated soloing and this Marione person having videos clearing these “harder” dungeons. It seems…wasteful for end game continuity. How many players will want to do something when they can go through it by themselves? How many times would they like to continue trying it? I don’t know…I prefer my endgame content to always be a challenge. Regardless of my power level is all.
You can’t base things off the exceptions. For average players the difficulty does increase going from Heroic/Mythic/Mythic+, but there will always be players that are just that good. You can not base the game on them or you make it horrible for anyone who is not them.
