Just did my first tier 9 Delved solo (The Spiral Weave) in ilvl 578 gear. It recommends ilvl 610+ so I guess that was pretty good. Honestly it was pretty challenging and reminded me of some of the challenges that were present in the Legion expansion like when grinding for the Predator title.
I would like to do more tier 9 Delves with this gear level but it was about as challenging as I can handle solo in my gear. What Delves would you guys recommend at tier 9 besides The Spiral Weave? Are any of the other ones easier?
Seems like you are on a personal challenge mode… i would say close ur eyes and throw a dart (avoiding water delves)
No matter the game the water level is always the dreaded one.
It’s also important to remember that it’s not only the delve that matters but also the story in it.
In terms of difficulty I think the easiest one that I’ve done was the one with the fungal guy at the end who has charge / spin (after which he gets stunned) and summoning of the spores. I can’t remember the name of individual delve/story but I was able to fairly easy clear it deathless on +11.
Spores are easiest because you can use them to kill things, although I hate the story where you’re basically tripping balls with the little pink elephant. Those Gnolls are mini bosses with their hp
I think the dread pit and mycomancer cavern are both pretty easy.
I’m wanting to make a class without pets to do delves, just to see how different it is.
Delves have been super, super trivial to me but I’ve only done them on Lock and Hunter. Any sort of positioning / kiting mechanic is virtually neutralized. Every boss is me just having my pet tank while I burn it down from a safe distance, occasionally side-stepping a mechanic and picking up Brann-vials.
I’ve played this game for like 15 years now, I didn’t expect to struggle, but I also didn’t expect to be clearing tier 8’s with ease a week into the season. It’s why I’m already bored of TWW.
So yeah… hoping if I try on a Rogue or a Priest the experience may be a little more tasking and rewarding. It sounds backwards but I guess I’m trying to find a bad solo spec, to solo play lol
Grats on doing the T9 40ilvls below though, still an accomplishment. But I guess my point is (assuming you did it on Hunter) it wouldn’t be possible on say a Rogue.
Its funny, because if you go to the start of the season, you’ll see plenty of people complaining how bad hunters are at soloing delves and how majority of classes are better than us.
