Solo Warmode

Here’s a shot out of a cannon; give us the option to go full Doom Slayer and engage in Warmode without faction ties. I.e. you’re a viable target for everyone else in warmode regardless of whether you’re Horde or Alliance, and they are fair game to you as well.

Bonus points for giving no additional incentive for this other than the fun of it. No bonus XP, just the complete murder-hobo experience.

What they should do is just introduce a Sliver of N’Zoth type of item again, or just make an outlaw/criminal system that breaks your normal faction ties.

Under an outlaw/criminal system, you’d be able to group and ally with other criminals and outlaws, regardless of faction. Becoming an outlaw or criminal would make you hostile to both factions, faction cities would also become hostile to you. The only safe cities would be neutral ones such as Dornogol, Valdrakken, etc. Possibly make an outlaw/criminal sanctuary such as Plunder Isle (not in game, but in lore it’s the home of the bloodsail buccaneers).

As an outlaw/criminal, the only people who are friendly to you are people in your group who are ALSO a criminal or outlaw, as well as to guildmates who are criminal/outlaws too. An outlaw/criminal who groups with a regular Horde or Alliance will still be hostile to one another.

Outlaws/criminals do not receive a War Mode bonus, since they are neither a soldier of the horde or alliance. Instead, they receive increased Honor per kill in the open world baseline. While bountied, an outlaw/criminal would receive Conquest per kill (maybe about 2 Conq per kill) since they have both factions trying to kill them.

Jesus that’s well thought out. Having some kind of thing like that would go a really long way to make the game feel less like an amusement park where everyone’s on the same ride and more like a lived in, fleshed out functioning setting. Might be a step too far but maybe have something like an outlaw buff/debuff where if you get too close to guards in the city they may expel you but the upside could be having an NPC merchant that gives like 5% better prices on stuff you sell to them.

They had this in bfa with a toy. It had a long cd tho.
