Solo the gathering of End Game Ingredients and regents in World of Warcraft Shadowlands

Will Blizzard allow ALL ingredients to be collectable by a Solo player, so that they will be able to upgrade their gears to maximum iLvl for World of Warcraft Shadowlands.

Blizzard is making a move toward allowing Players who wish to Solo World of Warcraft Shadowlands, to Solo most of the content. But if I heard correctly, Blizzard is going to lock some of the ingredients behind Multiplayer content.

If that is true, does anyone else object to having crafting ingredients locked behind Multiplayer content?

To get the most story out of this Shadowlands expansion, it looks like people are going to have to have at least 3 alts, besides their main.

I would like to be able to use the limited time I have to fully equip those 4 characters, at the very least, with max player made Armor and Weapons please.

Actually, just five characters, just five characters equipped with player made Shadowland expansion end game iLvl equipment. There is a reason, I won’t go into details, … yet?

Do you think you could make it so, if I spend 2 hours per day, 5 days a week, I could participate in the last 9 to 12 months of the expansion, with my only concern being, what Mythic dungeon am I going to run through, and on which character?

Do you think, you make that possible for solo players, Please Blizzard?

Thank you

Your saying you want max ilvl gear for your characters. Your going to have to try harder than “solo” content dear. Your an LFR hero it looks like. You shouldn’t be worried about locked mats behind higher content. Enjoy the game for what it is if your that casual or move on to another game. Your concern is way to much for how little you play the game. You should probably play something else.

There should be many ways to obtain all the crafting materials a crafter will need.

So, I just had a thought, of a valid concern that developers of the game, and in particular Professions for the Shadowlands Expansion might have.

What is to stop people from exploiting the farming availability of end game crafting materials, selling these materials through the auction house, or through the mailing system?

Well currently, restriction on these end game crafting materials, is restricted by making them soulbound.

In the Shadowlands expansion, Blizzard could make the end game ingredients BOA, bind on account. This would make these ingredients tradeable between Alternate character, through the mailing system, but not sellable or tradeable with other players.

The exciting opportunaties, having BOA end game crafting materials opens up, is players would end up having more than one main character, or finally discover a new character class, they enjoy, more than the one they were playing, when being challenged by end game content.

I am not proposing a reduction or diminishing of the quality and stats in end game equipment, obtainable through the more traditional means of grinding Dungeons and Raids, I am just asking that player crafted equipment with end game iLvl and stats be craftable by Solo players and all Crafting material be obtainable through Solo content.

Being able to fill all slots on at least five characters with player crafted equipment that has end game iLvl and stats, would be fun for me.

I will continue to not be one of the Mythic players who get a reputation of wiping dungeons and raids, because of my iLvl and/or skill.

While Mythic player continue to wipe, either because they just have a bad run, or they have a nube in their lineup, or an opposing faction player who likes to wipe dungeons and raids, and Battlegrounds by using their Horde Alternate characters, along with a few of their friend, especially in a Battleground, causing the real Horde players to thump their tables, or keyboads, or just scream in frustration, because they have wiped or lost another Battleground, … again.

Well that type of agro, I would be more than glad to avoid. I looks like the Shadowlands Expansion end game content is going to be more than challenging and entertaining, rich and vibrant. I don’t want to aggravate other player who are expecting me to move on, because I am in a team, but I spot, “Hey what’s that cave over there, or this underwater Grotto looks interesting.”

Or I would like to stop and chat with some of the NPCs who have dialog. Hey it would be fun to have easter eggs, where you stop and chat with an NPC and after exhausting the dialog, you get a quest, or you get hints and tips or daily or weekly quests that reward you with rare Crafting materials.

Crafted items arent and will never be a high ilvl. They are there to help you step foot in mythic+ and normal/heroic raid difficulty.

As for your concern with raiding guilds. Go find something casual and run normals every week. I bet you your gear will go up faster than crafted gear will get you. Practice normals for a while, run low keys and work your way to a heroic skill level.

As for obtaining the mats for crafted gear and locked mats behind high content. If they do that for shadowlands its probably for the right reason. Practice your pve gameplay now and it wont be an issue when shadowlands drops.

Also you may want to check out Final Fantasy 14. I get that vibe from you and what your looking for. WoW might be to overwhelming for how much there is to do and how little effort your putting into pve content.

Legendaries, can be crafted, there usually better then anything Mythic. I wonder how many slots I will be able to fill. One of the main reasons we will repeat the tower runs, is to collect crafting materials.

So what remains to be answered is what other crafting materials and regents will be needed, and can they be collected and gathered during solo game play.

The other question will be, is Blizzard going to limit the number of slots that can be filled with player made equipment and the iLvl?

Anyone from Blizzard, reading this who can answer these questions, and elaborate on whether the Crafting professions will be useful for crafting Max Level, with max Level Stats?

Will the equipment be upgradable from the time they were created, using the crafting system?

If they’re going to insist on instance drops for crafted gear, the mats themselves need to not be soulbound. I’m not playing World of Instancecraft, and I’m not going to spend all of my time running alts through dungeons or deciding which toon gets to come on raid night. Especially not if my “reward” at the end is to make a BoP piece of gear that isn’t as good as what dropped for me during the raid I had to run repeatedly just to get the mats.

If Shadowlands professions are set up like BfA professions, or if the game in general moves more toward instanced content, there’s a good chance I’ll just drop my alts and stick with my hunter.

If you want to craft Legendaries, some of the end game crafting material is going to be available through the Tower in the Maw.

To be fare, they have not announced what other sources they might also use, like World Quests, Craft 3 this, or 4 that or 5 sthing else.

Blizzard said, player will be able to Solo the Tower in the Maw or in a group. If Blizzard makes the rare Crafting regents BOA instead of soulbound, that should satisfy any concerns that Blizzard has about people farming these rare Crafting Materials, for any reason except Crafting for character on there own account.

If they make the crafting Materials and any crafted items BOA, Bind on account, that should, satisfy Blizzard, and stop players from making items especially Legendaries, to Auction them, or sell them through the mail using the Pay on delivery, P.O.D. feature.

All other Crafting ingredients should be as they have always been, farming through Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning, and of cause be fully tradable on the Auction House, and through the mailing system.

From Blizzards point of view, having crafted Legendaries should be the same as having Mythics, it is a sign of effort.

I would be perfectly fine with BoA crafting materials for the highest end items like legendaries.

What I think is over the top is not being able to even level a craft to skill cap without a low drop RNG mat (expulsum) and mats that could only be reliably farmed in mythic+ (hydrocore/tidalcore) or raids (sanguicell/breath of bwonsomdi), and then having the only things worth crafting be BoP on top of the ridiculous mat requirements (which meant my mail-wearing leatherworker couldn’t even craft leather transmog for my monk and druid).

Blizzard making B.O.A. Crafted equipment, instead of B.O.P. so a player can equip their Alt characters, would be a good step forward.

If they did that in the Shadowlands expansion, and reduced the number of Rare Mats needed, or at the very least recognized all effort by a player, on their main and their Alts, when doing the Tower in the Maw, that would be good.

Blizzard, how difficult would it be to make an Crafted item B.O.A. instead of B.O.P. ?

A B.O.A. item whether it is a Crating Material or a crafted item, would mean it could not be Auctioned or even traded through the mail, using the Pay on Delivery, P.O.D. feature.

The only thing I remember them saying about crafting mats in multiplayer content was materials needed for the legendaries/artifacts. I dont think normal mats will be locked behind multiplayer content until the bigger raids then we will probably have raid mats for raid gear like normal.

Also lol I dont even rememebr having that Deathnight in my avatar, weird

If Blizzard adopts, the key features in this post and in the other post I have referenced, there would be an influx of player who might actually give PVP a serious go. What serious PVP player, would not like an honest challenge, right, … Right?

Surely you don’t want a bunch of nubes who can easily be ganked, because they are not as enthusiastic about PVP content as you are, right?

I don’t know about the Alliance, they’re all Girlie men and Girlie Girls aren’t they, Horde? :stuck_out_tongue:

The Horde on the other hand, the more challenging the fight, the better. Any thing that give you a real challenge, and increases your numbers, would be a good thing, … wouldn’t it? :see_no_evil: :hear_no_evil: :speak_no_evil:
