Solo Shuffle - Thoughts?

And I’m entitled to it. Don’t you forget.

No one is arguing that. We just don’t know why you’re confused.

Confused? I understand exactly how this new rated experience is going to play out. It’ll flop before 10.0 and either be revamped or removed, because it is overly complicated. The end. No confusion.

I imagine the brawl itself will probably just not be seen again but the DNA of it will be used in soloque. I also think it’s going to be a test ground for xfaction stuff since I’m assuming it will just put a random assortment of Horde and Alliance together.

WHY. JUST SAY WHY.

Yeah there’s a lot of bugs to test out. Soloqueue being a 30 min time block does seem like an odd choice - how do you deal with DCs or drops? - but I’m sure that’s issue #42 for these guys.

“The idea is that we take 6 players, throw them in a pool, and have them fight in 3v3 arena matches in every possible combination you could form among those 6 players. The one with the best rating at the end essentially wins.”

Because this ^ the above system ^^^^ is complicated. That’s why it sucks. That’s why it’ll flop. It’s totally unnecessary. They could have just added a separate 2v2 rated solo queue and BOOM! But they added an unnecessary system to over complicate things.

To you it is.

Did you just want this? The point is/was the system they’re going with is a better assessment of the individual.

Blizz does an amazing job with taking something that we’ve asked for and making it horrendous. We asked for gear vendors in SL and they gave us a gear tiered upgrade system with an honor grind. Blizz gives out “solutions” in the form of a monkey’s paw. “You can have a gear vendor, but you have to spend upwards of 80k honor for the gear to reach it’s potential, you can have solo queue, but it’s 6 people and it’s 3v3 and we throw you in random combinations and whoever has the higher rating at the end of it all wins.”

How freaking hard is it to just join up, you get paired with some other guy, and you fight some other 2 guys? How hard is it to make the current WoW Random BG queue, and just slap a rating to it? How hard is it to just listen to your freaking player base?

I’m sorry if I sound bothered, but how can blizzard fall so short so often?

I’m 100% with you on the PVP Vendor. The rank-gaiting with gear is absurd. That said, keep in mind that we had to battle to get the vendor back in because “finding it is confusing.”

But I still don’t see what, at this point, the system is doing poorly.

That’s not what we asked for.

If they just add a rating to skirmish, there will be frustration because sometimes you get a meta-comp, sometimes not. Solo shuffle, makes sure that if you are paired with a non-meta spec, your opponent will too.

Blizzard listened to us and added soloQ. Nobody will spoil my joy with negative opinions  Blizzard has a vision of the game that cannot correspond to every one of 5 million people. If I was the boss, pvp gear would be normalized long ago… But, I understand other people want gear and blizz tries to accomodate as much as possible with the player base contradictory desires. We end up with the game as it is today, and it is a great game. number 1 mmo.

This is a better synthesis of what I was trying to articulate.

You joined 1 day ago and have only posted in threads having to do with the solo queue and have exclusively sung blizzards praise.

A heroic styled BG queue with rating is what is needed, and is what I have been outspoken for for a long time. Make it have a base ilvl requirement, to make sure that people still need to gear their characters and can’t just hit 60 and queue up. Obviously, most people won’t be able to surpass ~1400, but at least it will give them a chance at better gear, and a chance to play at a higher tier.

I’ll tell you who wins in a 3v3 or 2v2 random revolving solo queue regardless of comp. The people with the highest ilvl. It’s not going to address anything, just point out a hilariously bad ilvl disparity. Only with smaller groups it will be harder to play in the background, so your ilvl will hold you back that much more.

This has been discussed to the ground, and most people here understand the need for it. Most people also understand that it won’t always be fair, but at least they will get a chance to enter something that they are previously not able to achieve.

So get this…

outta here

You sound like you just need to quit.

I am definitely worried. I feel like it is atleast something, but sounds ultra casual. If it is to have any meaning it will need to have rating tied to it. Otherwise why wouldnt I just que Skrims

I like it when people make wrong assumptions about me. I play wow since vanilla and discussed extensively in the us forum during 5.3 to get gear normalization (which we almost get with templates). I am level 10, because… I am french lol I created this account few days ago, right after discovering the plan about solo shuffle. I won’t leave, neither the game, nor the us forum. I am SO happy Blizz listened to us. Gear is no longer an issue (especially with the new rating conditions). Finding partners of equal strength will no longer be an issue either with solo shuffle. In the end, only skill will determine your rating in solo shuffle. When blizz does bulls… (e.g., getting globaled so easily) we say it. When blizz listen to us and offer us the long awaited soloQ, there is only one thing to do first : thank Blizz. Then, you can share your concerns and fears about solo shuffle

No u!

If only 2vs2 wasnt the worst piece of trash pvp. Even more destroyed by meta than any other content.

Solo shuffle is so fantastic. Skill, not meta, will determine the winner

Wonder if this means they’re really starting to consider mixed faction battlegrounds.
