Solo shuffle, the worst thing to introduce to wow pvp

It sounded so good when I first heard of solo shuffle.
MMR is all over the shop, I’m on my alt druid playing at 1800mmr and on my main pally at 1300 mmr.
I feel like bizzard took it one too far in turning pvp to pve this xpac, people are legit just doing a dps rotation. I find myself ccing dps rather than a healer… healers should pretty much just be removed out of the game thats how bad healing is… Druids are not even viable.
a healer will only work if they have some kind of damage reduction on their dps and that limits priests, pally… the rest are not really worth playing.

The reason MMR is so bad in solo shuffle is because healers don’t want to queue, all you need to do is buff healing and they will want to queue. instead of healers having maybe 3 heals and those heals be decent, healers now have a bloatware of healing spells all doing next to no healing.

Healing is simple, Each healer have a castable heal which should do the most healing, instant heals should be smaller heals.

People are openly cheating in arena using interrupt bots and juke bots and this being all good is going to kill arena.

I can’t take solo shuffle seriously, the dps in there are absolutely terrible all the way up to 2k i have found. The mmr is all over the place and as a healer im over getting maybe 3 wins all depending how my dps play.

everything is about being a bot now, its either actual bots or people playing like bots. people are hardly using cc now, its just a dps rotation. I get you want to encourage pve players to pvp but what a way to kill pvp

I quit reading at 1800/1300mmr.
I’m not trying to rating shame, but this is a you problem.

So… we’re just playing the game, then? XD

There is no such thing as juke bots.

So every healer should be subject to getting trained down, then? If healers need to cast to heal, then how do you expect them to survive two melee bashing their heads in? Or get any meaningful healing vs mage/lock that would spam rotate sheeps/fears with two kicks?

Someone doing a better dps rotation than you does not make them a bot.

Sorry maybe you can’t read. I mention the mmr is broken there… it sounds like you didnt read that part… like at all

Can you elaborate on why you think MMR is broken? I’m trying to comprehend your post and it’s just a series of fragmented statements.

to be fair, the entire pvp system atm is in a really bad shape, its the main reason why participation is so low, if devs spent just a tiny amount of time on pvp, game could be way better but they don’t give a f***, players don’t give a f*** and we are stuck with garbage modes like solo shuffle and the entire arena system wich is garbage

I think the youth are just confused. I’m guessing that none of them have seen an episode of Happy Days and are unfamiliar with a Jukebox and are being misled by chatgpt into thinking that it’s a “juke bot”.

The worsk and miserable thing in wow pvp is called solo blitz

I win plenty of rounds landing solid cc with my teammates while sending proper damage goes.

Not sure what your complaint is, youre stuck at 1300 or 1800 playing like a bot.

Maybe stop playing like a bot and put some thought into it.

They should stop talking to robots and watching TikToks. It’s causing “skibidi brain rot”.

Blitz requires you to put your big boy pants and do literally everything. You cant leave nothing up to others. Be it spinning or rotating you have to so it. Blitz is for the hard working men. Yes it doesnt always work but id your team didnt win you ha e to look at yourself first

I personally think BGB is worse than RSS, and I was primarily an RBG player/leader for a decade. Perhaps my taste has changed, and my chase for improvement and reward has lead me to start my arena development career  My case of hot takes: WoW should have remained an MMO in full, communication is key, the hard-CC nerfs were a horrible, misguided mistake… facilitated, exactly like the tuning and even classkit changes, by a distanced, dry-metric-based PvE-(primarily-M+)tourney-centered outlook that has longterm been highly detrimental to the game’s health. Finally, as with any form of entertainment since 2015 (WoD, checks out) – it’s been idealism over a practical philosophy, again… to the product’s detriment. Always doing the exact opposite of what the data shows and always swinging in extremes (balancing as evidence, and basically any system change since the aforementioned time. Just revert back to MoP).

You could buff healing by 50% it doesn’t change the root issue behind why people don’t want to play support. Any time this is said you’re admitting that you have no better ideas than the changes blizzard already commits to that players hate.

You aren’t fighting kick and juke bots often at all, you’re just getting severely gapped in skill, but because blizzard has done extreme leg work to push players to ratings they shouldn’t be in, it feels like cheating.

It’d be like if Chess websites just put you at 1200 Elo after beating a 250 Martin bot. You don’t belong there and you’re going to lose every single game.

If ur a healer playing SS, just give up. The mmr will never help your climb.

The one extremely good point made by OP is that new players shouldn’t just be tossed into 1800 rated matches, its not fair for anyone involved. Sure, once your mmr normalizes to your skill level, you can start to play the game and improve, but your introduction to rated arenas shouldn’t be “you’re going to get dumpstered for 20 games in a row, gl hf”.

I didn’t know this till now but blizzard makes the entry MMR 1800 for solo shuffle. This is why solo shuffle is such a joke. First time solo shuffle players are put up against people at 2k… This makes the entire ladder till 2k an absolute joke. Blizard is responsible for all people getting angry in solo, that is sooooo dumb to make entry 1800.

Noone can play solo shuffle with people in the same skill level unless over 2.2k as you need to get past the default mmr entry level. Its so difficult to get past the entry level when you have such bad players at 1800mmr… I simply dont have the patience to lose / win / lose win for 15 hours to farm past the entry level mmr. Blizzard, you people are morons

Blizzard literally did this because people were angry that their rating was “deflated”.

I agree. My personal opinion is you should be able to speak to an NPC to opt out of artificially injected MMR. It’s not good for newer or more casual players to thrust into 1800 MMR lobbies.

At that point they’re not the thruster, but the thrustee. And the other five players didn’t bring any lube.
