Playing sub rogue in solo shuffle, my stealth bar bugs in roughly half of my queues where either shadow strike is on my bar, or backstab. I obviously start in stealth and as soon as subterfuge ends, shadowstrike is still on my bar greyed out. Great. Swap backstab on in the middle of the game and now when I dance, shadowstrike doesn’t replace it and my dance damage is gimped by 60%.
If this happens in the fist round of the queue, it continues for the rest of the rounds. I’m 100% against all of the people leaving to climb faster, but I’ve gotten to the point where if I notice it happen I immediately just leave as it’s not worth playing out the matches, you’re literally useless with having to choose either BS or SS.
Please god tell me I’m not the only sub rogue experiencing this.
I’ve never experienced this. But, I also don’t play the same way as most Rogues(it would seem). I used Action Bar 2 instead of 1. 2 doesn’t change when you change stances. I instead use stance macros. It’s always seemed more reliable than the bar swap. Granted, it did seems like the bar swap was working much better now.
You could try using bar 2 with some stance macros and see if that helps. In general, you’ll be good with just a [nostance] macro. Example:
/cast [nostance] Backstab; Shadowstrike
So, always just go non-stealth ability ; stealth ability.
But, if you want a little more flexibility, here’s a little cheatsheet:
[stance:0] same as [nostance]
[stance:1] only Stealth
[stance:2] Vanish, Shadow Dance, Subterfuge, Sepsis
[stealth] Stealth, Vanish
If for some reason you want the button to do something in Stealth and something else in Shadow Dance.

I was going to say the same thing.
Bar 1 is the only bar that changes in the base UI when you stealth. If you have those buttons bound to another slot that’s not on bar 1 they won’t change.
My bindings are kick, backstab/gloom blade, shadowstep, shiv for both stances so I don’t have to fuss with remembering a map out change on bar 1 and getting brain screwy when I swap talent load outs.
You’re not the only one, the stealth bar bug where the bar bugs out when exiting stealth is happening to me too, I’ve only noticed it since this past Tuesday’s reset. I had the same concern with arena as well.
Typing /console reloadui does seem to reset it but you’re likely still losing that round of solo shuffle if they’re on you (which if you’re a rogue they prob are 80% of the time)
Edit: and just to clarify, this bug is happening when I’m in other rogue specs as well, and in both open world and instances. I’m not using any action bar add ons
Since you already have nostance and stance modifiers, wouldnt it be the exaxt same for you if you just put those macros on both sides of bar 1? Just wondering
Yah, I suppose you could do that. I’ve just been using bar 2 for so long now, I’ve gotten used to it. I’m also not 100% sure if it would work out okay. I mean, I assume it would. But, you never know.
I do remember prior to their UI update, there was this bar change animation that always bugged me.
Its actually what i have and i dont rly run into issues so we might be under the same effect
True. I guess I could just stop recommending bar 2! Maybe I should see about changing up mine. Put random stuff in bar 2 instead. 
I stopped using bars altogether like 10 years ago and just use addons to keybind macros directly.
Best decision I ever made (I mean I was playing feral at the time and it’s the same problems times 10) and it’s hilarious to see that action bars are still awfully clunky to this day.
