So this is the think, we are currently having a big problem in solo shuffle having insane long queues, it almost doesn’t matter what rating we are, even if 1600 or 2.4k+ we are getting more than 20min queues as dps even some healers takes longer queues, of course higher rating get highers queue, but the main problem is the way how you match players based on mmr to get into queues, and that might be fine, but it’s not perfect at all.
In game we have a system of “ranks” that we get combatant, challenger, rival, duelist, elite, so for derank or get into the next one we have a specific rating we have to acchive. for example if we want to get rival 1 we need to get 1800 rating and to get into rival 2 we need to get 1950, but somehow when you queue you need to have the same mmr as others players, so lets say you are 1900 mmr you only can queue against others players that have 1900 mmr, so that makes it way difficult to find players at that mmr because not everybody has it
So, if we got ranks, why you just dont put people to get into queues based on the rank they are, if you are a rival 1 thats mean 1800-1949, you are can queue against all rival 1 players, so that is going to increase the queues for every player and will be a huge change for everybody that ones to play and also we can get faster queues, and need to be the same for every rank, if you are combatant (1400-1599) you queue with everybody between that mmr and not based on specific mmr, same for others rank
Now you will ask what will happen with Elite that is above 2400? well you can put it the same based on rating/mmr, make queues for players every 200 rating/mmr for them, so you will queue as 2500 mmr, you are going to face players between 2400-2600
How gonna be the win/lose system? well in solo shuffle right now we play 6 rounds each, so just make it 10 points per round, if you go 6-0 you will get 60 points + 20 extra mmr for winning the lobby, if you lose 0-6 you will lose 60 rating + 20 extra mmr for losing, if you go 3-3 you will get 0, but if you went 3-3 because a dps or a healer went 0-6 you can get +10 mmr assuming that wasn’t your fault so people is not going to throw in porpuse so you dont get mmr, that only needs to happen if one player gets an 0-6, and same if you go 2-4 you will lose -20 and if you go 4-2 you will get +20
Also doing this it doesnt require healers losing mmr for going 3-3, because healer fight other healers, just make it all players fighst all players, because its going to be working for the rank they are and you can do this, because for healers they can queue against healers that have more or lower mmr than then and thats why they lose to much mmr for getting a drawn on the game
Idk if any dev or Gm will read this but if they do they know they can do something similar to fix that big problem that pvp players are experimenting right now in solo shuffle queues and don’t say its not going to work because for every other game it does work, so make a great use for our ranks in game, and not only on mmr
