Solo Shuffle is discouraging

You can win many matches, but if one rage quits. You gain nothing and the cycle continues until it goes til their favor when you lose ratings. I am at the point of losing interest in this mode. If it wasn’t for the holidays this problem probably would of been hotfix by now or is that too much copium I am giving this company?

Shuffle is a terrible game mode. Blizzard never wanted to implement it, so when they did they set it up for failure so they can be like “see we told you” instead of fixing it.

Blizzard is still a terrible company. I’m so so so so shocked.

It is a player created problem that has led to RSS being terrible. If people stop queing as melee than shuffle is pretty balanced and extremely fun.

I’m loving solo shuffle. I think it’s the best thing for a long time to happen to wow

Also I am a healer and idc about my cr, so people leave and I just get another insta q. Very nice

The mode isn’t polished right that’s all. They have to compensate players who have wins and loses when someone rage quits. Depending on the rounds should compensate the ratings either large or small of wins and loses. That way the encouragement flows right giving players the respect and satisfaction of participating in the match.

Do y’all just not keep up with blue posts? Solo Shuffle’s problems are known and fixes are being worked on for a future patch.

Like, this is literally in a sticky’d blue post on this very forum.

Shuffle is great once you get to 1800 onwards then people don’t leave and get sweaty. I’ve had more intense games in shuffle than I did at high arena with more interesting matchups. Not as skillful but def more exciting

How about constantly going 3-3 and being stuck at the same rating for an entire day lol… just because I can’t carry one bad player, I should be stuck? Cmon

f%%%% yes ive had some legit EPIC GAMING moments in solo shuffle.

we had a monk healero n our team literally drop to 1 HP but we managed to bring it back and get the win a few seconsds later.

super intense , close games like that are bound to happen sooner or later with all the chaos going on lol.

i know a lot of people hate on solo shuffle cuz it lacks orginization… but hey… to me thats what makes it fun lol. its like improvised chaos

Just out of curiosity, what MMR have you been playing at where you get people quitting? I’ve had it happen at lower ratings but challenger and up it doesnt seem to happen very often

at this point i’m almost grateful people leave games. i’ve lost a ton of rounds from people just afking.

SAME, this is actually I think a bigger issue than leavers

I’m loving SoloQ gives a chance for casuals actually determining their skill level and not carried by btags and no chance for boosters either

a gift basket for healers is not a solution. healers don’t want to lose cr for something outside of their control, and healing in general for solo shuffle is very hard for most people. there needs to be solutions to cr or the mythic ilvl rewards

the cr rewards after leavers is nice tho, doesn’t fix the main problem which is lack of healers.

This isnt a solo shuffle exclusive problem, same thing happens in LFG for rated 2’s and 3’s. You have some of the groups where DPS will wait 20-30m to find a healer in their CR range lol. Same issue, new wrapping. Healers even tend to have inflated elo because they can get invited to groups outside there CR range because people are tired of waiting.

Its the same issue wow has in every content, EVERYONE likes to do big damage and be the main protagonist. No one likes to support roles whether it be healer or tank.

Think about OW, how did they make tanking popular? They made them busted af and the protagonist.

How did league of legends make support popular? The giga-buffed them to high helheim and made them the protagonist of bot laning phase. Riot released an AskRiot article on why tanks do so much damage in their game and they called it out “Players won’t play tank when they don’t deal good damage”.

The only way you get gamers to play support roles is to make them objectively broken because gamers just want to be the protagonist. WoW obviously cant do that because they have raid and mythic+ to worry about and PvP talents don’t offer enough flexibility to give the buffs required for such an overhaul.

I just hope they don’t mess up anything when it comes to this specific hotfix.

I’ll probably reach there when the rage quitting stops. Right now the chances are slim and just right now a Shadow Priest rage quit.

They should also reduce the losing mmr rating points by the amount of winning.

0 wins = losing a lot, but if you at least have 1 - 2 wins or even 3 it’s little to zero while 4 and above is gaining winning points.

It also show those who know how to play their specs respectfully, but also showing the balances between classes.

You know what else is discouraging? Queuing as a healer for solo shuffle and making one mistake and you’re instantly to blame. I got blamed for the most ridiculous thing that wasn’t even a me issue. This is why there’s a healer shortage.

I mean I don’t even have party chat enabled if and when I’m in a bad mood it’ll just lead to bad play.

I’m generally okay to handle most toxic people in gaming tho.
