Solo Shuffle Broken Group Pairing

The pairing system for solo shuffle groups are broken.

The game should be pairing people within their rating group, as well as, their honor level group.
(I’d suggest 1-200, 200-400, 400-600, etc.)

Yes, this would make for longer ques, however… I’d rather wait 20 minutes for a decent group of 6 people around my honor level, than wait 10 minutes for a group of 4 people who haven’t even hit honor level 100 yet.

This is the same problem in BGs, but it’s not as prevalent because there’s usually other higher honor levels to carry the other lowbies in the group.

DPS seem to get matched in a very level appropriate fashion. The only place where this doesn’t happen is with healers and, with the amount of who queue, the queue times would be pretty excessive.

What Blizzard needs to do is figure out a way to make the healer role actually fun and enjoyable to more players–preferably without making healers disturbingly overpowered.

It does.

Honor level means nothing. You could be honor 1500 and have a 28% winrate over 400 games.

No. This might be one of the worst suggestions ever.

A person who grinds to 1500 honor level with little arena experience means they’ve run a lot of BGs. It is more likely that this person has better understanding of their spell combinations against other players than someone who is honor level 20.

This person would have a much smaller curve of adjustment to more personal, close contact battles that you get in arena maps.

It makes logical sense to pair healers that have 200+ honor level with other dps that also have 200+ honor level. It is unfair for a healer with this high of an honor level to have to rely on an honor level 20 dps to know how to handle peeling/CCing/defensive timing/etc.

This would basically be a carry by the healer. And I prefer a fair fight. That’s why I que. Fair fights are fun. Carries suck.
