i dont understand the fun in pvp for disc priest healers, we literally get stunned every second and the stuns are 5s and their back to back to back. why on earth can you do that? you can literally keep someone stunned almost the whole game,
im ranked 1900 in solo shuffle i try to use pillars as much as i can or keep my distant but every class has stuns that can last 5 seconds, ontop of that we have 1 ability from a medallion that has a 1 min cooldown. im so frustrated because i spend more time being stunned than i do actually playing.
like dude put a cooldown on the stuns or give us more than 1 ability every minute to get out of them. as a disc priest your literally constantly having to bring ppl up from 2almost death bcause by the time your finally out of the 45 second stun their like dead.
the amount out of cc that druids and evokers and mages have is unreal.
and no this isnt oh you lost so your ranting this is just days of pvp, trying countless things to counter it and its like wheres the fun when 80 percent of the match you cant control your character, its not really beating or out smarting, you hide behind a pillar and the team is running so much going on they dont look where the healer is their constantly line of sighting you, so even when the 30 second stun is over teammates so far, your trying to run to heal him and bam cced again.

you should watch some high rated disc priest shuffle gameplay to learn how to deal with damage/cc.
I feel like the biggest problem with less experienced players is that they don’t press a button whenever their GCD is over.

You might be onto something. Blizzard take note, the healers are quitting ruining pvp modes.
-too much CC on the healer.
-dampening too high.
-DPS defensive usage is REQUIRED to keep the game going, remove defensives from DPS and give to healers so we have more control of the game.
Hey, man. If you’re getting chain stunned as a disc priest then you’re likely doing something really wrong with your positioning!
I’m happy to help, but it’s hard to give specific advice without seeing you play.
If you post a vod here I’m happy to review it and help however I can!

when game is back up ill record me plaiying, i try to position myself away from everyone else but on my teams side in the back, unless im running up to fear the healer or fear a dps off my mage or warlock, i try to pain polys but sometimes its hard so mucxh going on its hard to see the poly coming sometimes, a lot of stuns dont require being right next to the player you can do it from afar.

Disc priest are in a real good spot. They don’t need a stun and can avoid cc pretty well with position and knowing how to use death/fade properly.

We have some of the best CC avoidance in the game, and we can spend 40% of the game behind the pillar spamming penance.
Learning to avoid CC is basically what the healer role is all about. Actually healing stuff is the easy part. If there was no CC in this game every match should go to deep, deep dampening where serenity is hitting for like 10%.
Disc priests don’t have abilities that stop stuns. Poly, Blind, Rep, Gouge, Glare, Traps, sure, but not stuns. Also, once you are stunned, you can then be hit with all the abilities I just listed and be stuck in them. You do have some tools but people in here acting like disc can avoid stuns is just wrong. Positioning only does so much into melee these days. Especially Warriors and ww’s.
Also just watched a recent tier list video from Skillset that says Disc is currently tied with Resto Shaman as the worst healer in the game right now. B tier I believe.
It’s even worse in Blitz where you can’t always be behind a pillar.
We have one of the best abilities in the game to use in a stun.

That’s not what was being discussed. Avoiding or getting out of stuns as Disc. Yah I agree, PS is good.

You know what made the Roman legions so impressive?
That their battle lines could fight fiercely and with disregard for self-safety because their brothers-in-arms will block and parry the strikes they could not.
If you’re cced, then your partner needs to then cover you as you cover them.
Fighting a hunter? Got stunned they going for trap? Roll over on top of your healer, take the trap. Simple strat.
Fighting boomy? Make sure I tiger lust for rootbeam.
Arena isn’t a 1v1, even though that’s how people always make their design suggestions in these forums.
Youre best bet is to ignore tier lists and other such
. That’s mostly doomer posting for views.
It’s basically like that terrible stock show that was a dude screaming “sell sell sell your outlaw rogue stocks, feral stocks on rise”
Dont worry though mop classic is here to save pvp. That is peak pvp for real this time
With the amount of immunity frames plus cc gut plus short trinket I don’t believe you.
Are you making use of Fade and Shadow Word: Death to deny CC?
Yeah, this is why you’re being put in so much CC, don’t do this, only use your fear if it’s easy to do.
Phase Shift is literally a talent that stops stuns.
The gap between the best healer and the worst healer is at the smallest point it has ever been in the history of the game; healer balance is exceptional right now.
Yes, but you also have access to an entire team including a 2nd healer that can help mitigate/draw fire from you along with dampening not existing there.
Does that still work in terms of how cc functions now?
