Anyone else notice a curious pattern? Usually its a hunter spending a good majority of the match criticizing and insulting others despite no meaningful call outs or contribution from them.
Is this because there is something psychologically off with them? Or is it because they had to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour to get into the match?
There is no correlation at all. Just as there isn’t any behavioral patterns with Horde or Alliance or classes.
Most of the players play different classes and factions. Most of them have characters on both sides.
To consider that a specific class is prone to a specific behavioral pattern is assuming only certains types of people play certain classes or faction. That just isn’t the case. Never has been
Rogues and disc priests generally have the highest crashout rate, particularly when duo’d together. This is well known by the community, who often refers to this duo combination as Yellow Snowcone.
It’s not the Hunter class so much as Hunter is OP at the moment, so a lot more people are playing them. So much so, that I believe it’s the most popular class in the game at the moment.
If a class as a ton of people playing it, there are higher odds that toxic individuals are among them. In a future patch or expansion, it’ll be a different class that everyone flocks to, thus you might notice the same trend with that class.
Anyway, don’t let the toxic players get to you. Their behavior says more about them than it does about you.
More that’s it’s just the nature of the role hunter’s fill. Anyone you have sitting a base, doing nothing the majority of the match, likely has something to say. Some good. Some bad. Everyone I know that players a hunter, including myself, players a bunch of other classes as well. Does anyone really only play one class? o.O
Not sure why that’s funny, it’s just a fact. Massive range/DPS, seemingly unlimited CC, and a bubble to boot. MM Hunters put up insane numbers in PvP.
I have an Evoker that I play sometimes, but for the most part I do. Been all about WW monk since WW monk became a thing.
I disagree, that’s all. You said hunters, then start talking about MM specifically. So which is it? Also, MM is very good in Blitz, but they are mediocre in arena. There are a lot of strong specs in blitz atm.
Well, you’re in the minority. Regardless, there isn’t some mentality linked to hunters that I can see. Rude people will be rude. Bout it.
You’re right, I should have specified MM. I would not say BM or Survival is overpowered.
I’m aware that I’m in the minority. I used to do MMA so I really enjoy the martial artist class fantasy. Plus, I just have a preference towards the least popular classes. I guess I’m a bit of WoW hipster in that respect.
But I agree with you. Hunters aren’t linked to rude people. Hunter players run the gambit from really cool to really toxic, just like any other class. My point is that with hunter being the most popular class in the game atm, it can appear as though more rude people play them. It’s just a numbers game.
