In the past PvE players complained because some of the PvP gear was BiS. If we make it so that Conquest gear is ilvl 434 by default, then people would just farm that for Mythics and raids instead of doing their usual progression.
Maybe it turned people invisible or made them untargetable in conjunction with other items.
Blizzard doesn’t just randomly ban toys from bgs. Something bad/unintended probably happened.

That only makes ever slightly more sense, because… Don’t make it BiS, easy? I for one would never do “the usual route” because I only enjoy occasional PvE, the fact you can get good gear with pvp is the only reason I’d do it at all. I can imagine people being upset PVp geat is better but so long as that’s not the case, who cares where it came from?
But having to have rated arenas to do world PvE/pvp is just… wow. Carrying two sets is a pain in the butt too, so this new system to have different Ilvl on both is incredible, just that part is yikes.

It made people dance. I haven’t looked at my other toys yet to see what else they disabled. I cannot possibly imagine what foul comes from someone dancing.
I shouldn’t have said BiS, because that wasn’t true. It would be easier to get Honor/Conquest to prepare for higher keys, VS doing the normal route.
I also think it’s a silly reason, however, I would not be happy if doing PvE activity was the best way to gear for PvP. So I guess it goes both ways.
taking away autonomy, no matter how small, tends to piss people off. the less people feel in control of their lives, the smaller the incident it takes to upset them.
Yeah, that makes sense. I had another toy that was on my hotkeys that got disabled too [foam sword], but looking through them it seems to be the vast minority, most still work fine.

Absolutely.
But “Best” is relative, if PvP was easier, why not make PvE as easy instead, so people don’t feel pressure? It still seems so ridiculous to put a limit like that. It achieves absolutely nothing in PvP, only forces you to do PvE to gear AGAIN.
Though to be honest, I have been getting plenty of gear from crafting, so it’s debatable it it would still be “easier” right now, even if all they did was remove the limit.
It actually got better after the last patch because people were playing holy paladins again, lol.
Id like to see solo que for all pvp and everything is rated with 1 set of BIS gear.
No honor set, everything is conquest.
Solo rated battlegrounds would limit the size to 7v7 with only 1 healer and 1 tank required per side. One battleground would have a total of 2 healers, 2 tanks and 10 dps. The queue times would be much shorter for dps classes than solo shuffle arena because more healers would probably queue for the battlegrounds as long as dampening isn’t a thing. And it shouldn’t be needed with just one healer and 6 other players on your team. No way a healer could keep everyone alive even if dampening was nonexistent.
Idk if healers will enjoy getting chain interrupted/CCed by 7 enemy players. Furthermore, no pillars.
Can a healer even survive 7 people going ham on them? They’ll get blown up in 2 seconds.
You are assuming objectives, talents, and abilities will remain the same. I’m pretty sure there can be special talents designed specifically for solo shuffle battlegrounds. For instance, a tank can choose a talent that intercepts and absorbs a hit or two.
IDK if a 1/1/5 combo would be idea. I dont mind the 1/3/6 but that also might be not only harder to find heals, but also may have games and fights last way longer than is “fun.” Battles on the odd point that last forever due to the lack of coordination may become a problem.
1/2/6 perhaps? It doesnt put the pressure on one healer for the whole map, allows for different healers to shine in roles they tend to be better at (H Pal/MW Monk single target vs R Sham/RDruid group)
Either way, a solo queue for RBGs or really opening up accessibility to casual players needs to happen. If we keep the current trends where there are less and less players, we’re gonna be seeing glads struggle to get 1800, and every group be a 2k+ group who’ll never take a chance on someone just started.
So since I saw someone mention people actually use LFG I have been going through them since I made the topic and… All that happens is 15 minutes wait to make a group, almost instant queue, and then the moment we lose it disbands… Easily replaceable by just having a solo queue, skip “join a group that will disband anyway” step.
Also plenty of groups anytime I checked so IDK about “there won’t be enough people”. It’s definitely quicker to find a RBG group than it is to even queue solo shuffle tbh.
1 - 2 - 3 would be the way. 1 healer on d with fc and 1 healer on o with the dps.
edit: i should read more 1 2 6 would be fine too.
I’m seeing most groups go with 1-3-6. But going through the list hoping to join one is a pain.
There would be communities that exploit solo queue as well. They would try to mass queue-sync and depending on set ups either team up in voice or even intentionally throw matches to help friends on the other team out.
It’s not possible to fix people. They will always be broken.
Nothing stops them doing exactly that right now. One of them is even selling RBGs every time I check. You can’t fix people, just let us have nice things
If they introduced cross faction BGs and Epic BGs it would potentially stop this and it would cause the epic premaders like Inemia etc to lose their minds. rofl.
Blizzard gain literally 0 from impletementing RBG solo-queue.
If anything, it’s giving them more to deal with and there’s no positive trade-offs.
A tip: Make healers a “god mode” (yep, its 5 DPS on me, but i’m fine, I can even cast a cyclone), and any kind of solo-queue will have shorter queues.
Make healers “struggle” to live (oh damn this war in my back and I cant survive, wtf), and you’ll wait forever.
It will apply to any… any solo mode that need a healer.
If you want one healer but want he to be like same weight of one DPS, just better do solo queues “DPS-only”. And have fun. Bc just a really few healers will find any fun to play that.
For wow patterns, the healty way to heal, is one avarage healer have same weight of 5 good DPS’es. And good healer? Well, even more.
