Blizzard, would love to see solo queue for Battlegrounds, even if it means waiting a few extra minutes.
The amount of Premades groups is out of hand and killing my enjoyment of BGs.
Inb4 “join a premade” - have tried on the server discord and in LFG with no luck, also as a shift worker my schedule doesn’t always align with peak server times.
inb4 “make your own” - if I had the experience or know how I would, guess I like being told what to do
premades put their pants on one leg at a time too. just coordinate with your team and outplay them.
I’m solo queueing AB and it’s pretty even tbh, premades don’t matter that much, the only thing that matters is if a team have 4+ priests
“Premades” are just a bunch of randos grouping up for faster queues. The only difference between solo queue and premade is about 12 minutes. In terms of organization it’s the same thing.
You’re losing because alliance is bad. Has always been and will always be.
Battleground Blitz is being turned into group finder random rated BGs, you’ll have your wish in TWW afaik.
Normal random battlegrounds should be left as they are, they are just a place to muck about - no need to split queues because some people want to play with a friend.
The difference is voice comms and group composition actually.
Think it would be more like 30-45 based on when I solo queue
Most of the “premades” I form are the first 3 people who whisper me. It works out fine. Don’t be afraid to try it out. Your barrier to entry when it comes to “leading a premade” is knowing you need a healer, FC and DPS that aren’t in greens from phase 2. You don’t have to call targets or use comms.
If I don’t find a healer in 3 minutes, I queue as 4 and try again after the match for 3 more minutes. Having a composed group (healer, FC, geared DPS) is more than enough to tip the scale of fate in your favor.
I haven’t used discord communication since phase 1 in battlegrounds and win 80% or so of my games. No one has. The PvP discord has been a ghost town since phase 1 ended. I don’t queue solo though. I guess the only requirement I have is “be geared.” A FC knows when the appropriate time to get a flag. Healers can heal. You don’t need to call targets to win.
I don’t typically say anything other than calling out enemy FC location and to push the relief hut. In AB I ask for 2 other people to confirm they’ll come with me to LM.

That’s the thing, most premades don’t have voice comms or optimal class composition. They’re made up of randos who happened to say “inv” the fastest.
I’ve maybe seen 1 proper premade with required discord in the past month of doing bgs.
