Solo que is so good

Wait 25 min for a solo que, 11k hp leaves after 3 games, 100 honor. Wait 20 min for solo que, win 5/6 games, win 18 conquest points. I wonder why your game is dying.

Not sure what you guys expected from a random queue system.

Still believe it will be different in DF. People that leave will actually lose points, you’re not stuck forever in placement games with wonky mmr. Most people will care more during a real season and if they do leave, they’ll be so low you’ll probably barely encounter them. Higher people will care about their rating. There’s a minimum PvP item level requirement so it won’t be super under geared 40k health pool differences.

Maximum copium.

I mean, I agree that potential to lose “real” rating will change some peoples minds. but at the end of the day solo q is inherently inviting toxic behaviour.

Perhaps so. But it gives the average player with no friends a chance to compete, too.

It’s an excellent concept for those in that sotuation.

Look on the bright side, if Dragonflight falls on its face then at least we have FFXIV which actually does pvp balance changes regularly

this guy is right…

solo q for 15 mins, then u win 5 games guy leaves on last game u get no conquest!

should at least give whoever is winning the conquest points.

i already made a post about this…
The reason why queue is taking so long is defined in two things:

1- poor balance (evokers killing in a GCD is unacepttable even in a prepatch)
2- not enough punishment for leavers

Those 2 facts are exactly the reason why insta queues became 20 min queues.

Why i got this conclusion, i played many solo shuffle, i noticed a high variation between classes/specs… then queues started to get longer…
suddenly the spec/class variations started getting smaller, warlock, dh and evokers predominated and other classes stopped playing.

It’s not like a paladin created an evoker because he wasn’t satisfied with his class, the queue got longer, which means players stopped playing because they weren’t satisfied with the mode.

I think a lot of people think blizz still produces high quality games from over a decade ago and haven’t came to terms with the new blizz quality team that just throws poop on the wall.

Eh… I wouldn’t be so quick to condemn anyone. Before passing any sort of judgement, try putting yourself in their shoes; try to see things from their perspective. It’s not easy making a game like WoW work; also, it’s practically impossible to satisfy everyone - not least of when people want conflicting things. They’re literally juggling the conflicting desires of multiple groups of people, and trying to balance all of that. That said, I think that it’s fairly clear that they’re making an effort this time around, and we really should be supporting that effort. I’d imagine that some positive vibes wouldn’t hurt. It just might boost the morale of people working behind the scenes.

every irate player since 2004

With soloqueue they havent taken any substantial steps to actually alleviate the problems that were obvious when they announced the game mode. To think leavers will be fixed in df under their current system just because it’s an actual system is pure copium.

the problem comes down to the commmunity. its a horrible community in its current state. its way too toxic.

I mean, they have made changes to it during prepatch. :dracthyr_shrug:

Probably, they’re waiting to see how it pans out going into DF, seeing as some of the problems are likely just prepatch specific. For instance, leaving will likely be (far) less prevalent when the season starts and rating actually matters.

I have no idea what’s going to happen with RSS - and, honestly, I’ve just stopped caring. For me, RSS will be a fun little side activity for earning a bit of Honor and Conquest. I won’t be taking it seriously. It’s hard to take random content seriously. That said, I think they’re probably right to assume that leaving will ease up a bit going into an actual season.

What they need to do ASAP is balance some of these classes/specs before the season starts. Every second person playing busted Prevokers, Devokers, and DHs is a problem, and will make people leave. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I finally tried solo shuffle out with my 270pvp ilvl rogue. The first game I was in was at 0 rating vs other poorly geared players and I won 5/6 rounds. The next two queues were against 1800 mmr players and I got trained hard. Lost the next 11/12 rounds.
