No faction changes in classic.
That’s actually not a similar comparison at that point. 20 hours for two days (if that’s what you meant) is equivalent to 5.71 hours a day for 7 days. Definitely manageable, albeit would definitely wear on you. 20 hours in total would obviously be a lot more manageable.
Just depends on your server I guess. My server apparently is not setting brackets very well so top Horde players are farming like 500-800k. Some servers set really low brackets or just more reasonable ones.
Thanks, I kinda figured he was talking out of his bootyhole.
My point with this thread was just showing another example of how this min/max gaming culture gets a little out of hand in a game like classic.
I plan on trucking through it because I enjoy PvP, but it certainly feels like having PUGs and full rank 12+ teams in the same pool is a bit broken. It’s like having diamond vs bronze players for those of us who play some other ladder based games.
Faerlina,
That pretty much 100% explains it. It’s by far the most toxic hellhole on earth. It’s a streamer server what do you expect? Streamers have the worst fanbase of anything on earth.
The higher the pop the more competitive the brackets for sure.
It’s like living in a small town vs living in a city. Gene pool is just bigger.
thats the difference between horde and alliance, alliance plays 20 hours for 2 days, horde has to paly 16 hours per day, for 7 days. lol…
I play Alliance clearly, my last weeks cap on Heartseeker was 1.5 million and people wanted it to be higher. Some servers like Stalagg ally have lower caps (like 400k) but are only doing 5-6k HpH, do the math
because you are on the most idiotic server full of cowards and PvE nerds who play all day. Most server are not like that.
We really have taken this min/max thing to a really *%^#ty level. I often feel it has ruined something that could of been a very wonderful experience for many.
Surprises me that we let elitism take over all the time.
yep. I am currently leveling an alt really slowly with my ultra casual friend and its made the game fun again. This game supposed to be casual lol.
Haha yeah, they suck, maybe like 60 good alliance players on the whole server.
The game can be finished without the min/maxing. It forces players to adopt an unnecessary bar of requirement. Why did we let this happen?
Just post the link with the preformatted text option.

I think that’s awesome man. Good on you guys. Imo, people are ‘over’ playing the game, and sucking the life out of it.
Just find a guild that doesn’t, complaining about people that put in effort or try harder than you isnt a good look.
Nah, I was there in Vanilla. The way it’s being played now is obtuse. Has nothing to do with effort. It’s how we’ve let this new model to take over when pretty much most of what they are saying is required actually isn’t.
As for the faction changes. At this point, I think it could help. I’m not about to reroll, as the time I have put in my rogue isn’t worth my time. I’d be willing to help the faction inbalance if I had that option. I’d be ready to roll right now. Otherwise, the faction balance will remain, as more people don’t want to reroll because of the time commitment. If The Alliance need players, it might be wise to allow such a shift. Or at least open the gates only for Horde to faction over to Alliance, but deny the other way around.
I see no harm in that. It could be a quick solution to a large problem.
I would argue raiding is significantly more casual now than it was at OG 60, imagine not being required to flask back in Vanilla. Outside of ranking I feel like I expended significantly more effort on the road to Naxx 15 years ago as opposed to now.
True, good points. Would you be open to a Horde to Alliance faction change only?
I mean, I’d literally bring my 60 over right now, and help you guys win for a change. I’m a pretty solid PvP’r, and i take it seriously. Long story short… I’ve been Horde for years, and I chose them in 2006/07 because I liked the underdog. I felt at the time, Alliance was the dominant faction in terms of player base.
Now that Alliance is the underdog, I feel they need some help. I’d totally come over and help, but I’m stuck behind a grind wall, and a inability to change over with my rogue.
It would be a final resort if they cant fix balance issues in another way, I think faction locked transfers or merges are probably the better route initially.
I played horde till Wrath personally, and my server took a direction I didn’t love got an offer to clear hard content on Alliance, and never went back. I miss certain aspects of horde, especially in classic their leveling route is a lot more enjoyable.
BFA was exceptionally bad in terms of Balance finding people for higher ranked pvp was a nightmare, I think 2 ally teams (one being my bois) were over 2.2 CR in RBGs, which is kind of gross, and for arenas it took me a few weeks to find a decent Turbo Cleave for my warrior which… I feel like shouln’t of been difficult.
Yeah. Something definitely needs to change. We all know the grind is real in Classic. My rogue has a lot of time, and gold invested in it. To reroll is just not logical, as it would undermine endless hours of work.
Either faction locking transfers, or merges, and one sided changes would help. I was rolling with several guys on Horde a few months ago who rerolled, but they didn’t have nearly as much time invested as I did, so it was easier for them. He’s now on Alliance. I wanted to join him, but the time I had to invest was not inciting.
I hope Blizzard fixes this, as it is a pressing issue. For me, I love my Horde, but I don’t like the culture that has changed it. I’m losing interest in them because of the scene that showed up. I don’t want to be associated, or labeled as one of them.
I’ll always be an outcast, and it seems Alliance are the outcasts now. Funny, as I’ve been pretty hardcore to the red banner for years, but I could easily see myself supporting the Alliance right now. Hopefully this gets resolved.
