Solo Q once again :D (or mmr in skirmishes)

Hi all, I hardly play the game time wise compared to my younger self but once again bringing back the solo q option. Solo q would be one of the best systems for arena. The specifics about it are subjective to change but 1) horde and alliance can match together to save time for all. 2) can’t match with same healer and dps twice in a row) 3) mmr system but different rewards (or none at all) to than ranked ladder.

From a fun adapting aspect the game would be a blast plus the ease of queing convenience.

I also love puppies.

No thanks…

solo queue would be the death of retail WoW, idk why everyone wants it so bad. its not like itll help you push out of your 1.3k bracket any quicker.

plus, whats wrong with LFG? Weve had it for over a decade now with zero complaints.

I’m fortunate to have a really good friend base to play with but lfg is toxic. You think it would be the death of wow because it thins the player base too much? You’d still need ranked for titles and mounts. Solo q just adds a quick flexible method of playing while your composition constantly changes.

Solo queue will be abused just as much as LFG, it might be a little more chalenging but when people want to make money, theyll find a way.

so for one it doesnt solve boosting, and second the issue with solo queue is that it would take too many resources from other things we need.

The argument for thinning resources is good. In a perfect (non blizzard) world solo q wouldn’t reward anything other than player fun. No mounts and titles (equivalent to ranked) or allow you to purchase gear if that’s what you’d like. Personally I don’t mind it allowing gear purchased because I thought legion templates were the most fair from a skill sense of the game.

Templates were widely hated tho, it felt like theres no incentive to play due to lack of gear being important. you couldnt even pick your stats.

True but that is totally unrelated to my post however I can still address. From a fair sense everybody was even (with the ever slightest difference). I play the game for fun and didn’t feel the negatives of no customization outweighed the value of balance (and ability to have alts quite easily)

makes sense from a casual standpoint, but most of pvp end game is for competitive players and not being able to pick your stats was pretty trash in terms of creating your own build/playstyle and beyond that, gear finally means something now in this new system which I think is good.

It’s actually the opposite… most high end players could care less, especially when stats are semi cookie cutter. In legion I played 4 seasons and got rank 1 in two of them and missed it by 10 points in the other two season.

I don’t understand the hate with Solo Queue, when my arena partners aren’t there I’m literally spamming skirmishes because I have nothing else to do. I’d rather spam rated solo queue.

And that’s the issue, you say you play the game for fun but that entails being a casual and most people don’t want to see casuals hitting R1 because that’s the opposite of competitive.

Notice how after Legion, R1 titles dropped because the game actually got more difficult with the classic gear model the game has always had?

Because it doesn’t solve anything? Boosting will still exist which is what everyone cries about.

How can you boost in solo queue, I don’t get it? Please enlighten me.

That’s actually entirely wrong, rank 1 titles are the same amount total but each season has MANY more. The seasons are full length and in legion they were half. My first rank one was Ferocious season and there were 37 alliance spots compared to the 200 of each faction there are now (especially the 1st and last seasons of an expansion)

Wdym? Booster just queues up boostee and takes him up the ladder, people have multiple chars at multiple ratings just to boost and if anything the price will go up and so will the demand due to how many people will want to queue into high rated matches over low ones.

Source?

If boosting already exists to such a detrimental degree, what’s the issue with adding it in solo q? Plus is boosting for ilvl with the shadowlands system such a big deal? Not including titles or mounts, just boosting for ilvl

I can try and look up a source but legions seasons were cut in half intentionally… there were 7 seasons. By that fact alone I can almost assume you didn’t play in legion?!? (Just because rank 1 is twice+ as easy to get now reason than legion was)

Which part of SOLO queue you didn’t get?

Solo definition: done by one person alone; unaccompanied.

Sorry but solo queue also comes with team queue, it’s gonna be like any other game where they have multiple people on a team, yea you can queue solo but they’ll allow parties depending on the team size bracket which means it can 100% be abused.

No it doesn’t lol, that’s called 2v2
