I’ll take it
Not really. Just not interested in it.
I go here and there, do thingies and whatnot.
I’d take anything Snozh has to say with a grain of salt.
He’s just out to troll people.
Funny when I post something that can be backed up by a source, ie, solo players could get tier without raiding, and the link to the sources, and how to actually check it in game for himself, he suddenly goes quiet.
“Wasn’t a good system.” That’s debatable. There was a very long wait at the end of WoD, and I pretty much maxed out all of the upgradable gear on all of my toons (15 at the time, iirc). Of course, I was running LFR on some of them.
The highest ilvl gear I’ve seen from ZM is the rarely appearing 259, which is the last three bosses’ drops from Normal Sepulcher. Heroic, it’s 265/272; Mythic, 278/285. Not arguing that the effort that goes into Mythic raiding shouldn’t produce commensurate rewards, but considering the steepness of threat/dps/healing performance with ilvl at the highest level in each expansion, there’s no comparison with 259 fluff. (Well, other than the magic transmog mechanism.)
No. I’m choosing not to do those activities. I level characters and have been getting my characters to 250 in ZM. I don’t spend a lot of hours playing anymore so that’s more than enough to fill my game time.
im playing other mmos that have content thats how i feel.
Not really.
Goldfarming, ZM exalted rep, and some alt work, if I’m not trying to gank Alliance in SW City. Though I’m doing it a lot more casually to keep my skills sharp, it’s getting harder and harder to get flags.
A quick view of your armory shows that you haven’t engaged in any content other than a few LFR fights in the entirety of SL.
There’s content. You just aren’t doing it.
One thing the “there’s content, you just aren’t doing it” crowd needs to realize is people talk about content they want to do. The quick view only shows group content they have taken part in (yes, LFR is group, but it is queued group not organized group)
However, in this case it might be better to point out their lack of achievements in: quests, reputation, exploration, etc. Things that can be done solo and proves they are actually engaging in at least world content.
The one thing the ‘doing content they want to do’ crowd needs to understand is that WoW hasn’t ever been sold as an endless sandbox of solo content.
If people aren’t doing content, it seems counter intuitive for them to complain about a lack of content.
If people are not doing content, they might not enjoy said content, which is more counter intuitive, telling them to do content they don’t enjoy or have them offer ideas on content they will enjoy?
Neither of those.
I’d recommend to those players that they should quit, that WoW isn’t for them. This whole concept of ‘solo players’ have never made any sense to me in an MMO.
So your recommendation is something that could kill the game?
Ever hear of the ones that like to be alone in a crowed? ever think of those that like to be in a living world, or the ones that need to be around people even if they are doing their own thing? These are the solo players in MMOs.
The thing is, MMOs are just multiplayer games, one can group if they want, one can solo if they want, different players different playstyles and goals.
For me, solo content is what I would do to challenge my self (mage tower) increase power (visions) or prepare for raid/dungeon (gathering).
Nope, never felt left out. There’s plenty to do. Matter of fact, that’s the beauty of WoW.
Truthfully, the more vocal solo players might feel “left out” because of their choices, but that should not mean solo content is not added, as content is content and the more added, the better the game is.
The only thing worse than playing solo is playing with other people.
It’s not going to kill the game. There is a minority of players who have such an extreme intolerance to difficulty in the game and/or a social awkwardness that limits them in grouping with actual people. Those are not players who should have a voice in game design.
WoW is a great game. If you knee cap yourself and stop engaging in the game beyond the catch up mechanics, you’re missing out. Complaining that you’re missing out at that point is just goofy.
and here is the rub, “the only difficult content is group content”. Mage Tower begs to differ, vision 5 mask solo begs to differ. Solo content can be hard content, but the ones you mention here complain and drive solo content to faceroll and those that would appreciate HARD solo content get recommended to quit by people like you because all you hear are the ones whining about difficulty.
Here is an idea for the ones complaining about lack of solo content: maybe there is a lack of it because you wanted it to be so easy you did it all day one and ran out of things to do that you like. Easy content=blown through fast, difficult content=lasts a while if not forever.
Hard to feel left out of a game you don’t really play anymore…
FFXIV and ESO give me plenty to do and when this last six moth sub runs out they will get all my money.
Asmongold said it best in his response to the WoW hates casuals video
