Solo Leveling

What are all the different ways people can solo level in the game? I don’t mean the fastest, just the different options players have to gain a level? This is all I can think of but I have a feeling there is more:

  • Questing
  • Battlegrounds
  • Grinding
  • Gathering
  • Island Expeditions

I ask because I thought low level follower dungeons were implemented but it seems that was my imagination.

I’ve heard there are people who level purely through pet battles.

People level in battlegrounds still? I tried that on my mage and each one just closed because there weren’t enough players, after like a 15 min queue, and even if you win you get maybe 5 bars

The best way to level IMO is timewalking dungeons (maybe this is called grinding?)

Might need to give them time with FD, I think FF14 bot allies was a process before you could do the low levels.

yeah it took like 2 years for xiv to do all the main dungeons. im hoping it’ll be the same here someday.

I’ve only levelled via dungeons because it’s mindless

Exploration gives experience, and I believe archaeology still gives experience as well. I’m not sure if WoD mission tables give experience, but it’s worth a look.

Bonus objectives are a great way to get through WoD, and really help past WoD.

Follower Dungeons should exist for Dragonflight and Khaz Algar. They haven’t been implemented for older dungeons.

I’ve always found a combination of questing, bonus objectives, and gathering (herbalism/mining) to be the quickest.

Yep i actually did it myself once the “best ways,” can be done separately or combined.

First, park alts at the daily quests that can be turned in from anywhere. There is one in westfall, duskwood, boot bay, red ridge and somewhere near Org. Log in real quick do the pet battle and then log onto your leveling character at the end to turn in all five at once. This works really well if the leveling character has buffs like Dmf experience or summer fest.

Second way is more straightforward. Find a spot with tons of the same pet, there are a couple spots in Pandaria with all aqua pets or all critters. Sit down with a team of the pet that’s strong vs them and just spam over and over. The way I usually do is fly a took to the water in Vale and use three eagles to wreck the aqua legs over and over.

Of course this is super repetitive but it’s different, and it’s a good way to level while you watch movies or something

Try LFD… no one says a word and its exactly like those quests where you get NPC followers.

I have done that.

Talk to the NPC outside a Dungeon and you can run it at your own pace on Solo.

Gathering while going to Delves and Solo Dungeons.
Heads up though: Sometimes when you ding to 80, it’ll turn off your “Find Herbs/Minerals” on the mini map.

Daily Quests and turning in wax globs help a bit.

The legend: Doubleagent.

Hit level cap for SL or DF i believe while having never ever left the Pandaria starting zone.

Gathering i think was the method they used to level.

He actually used the pet battle trick I mentioned above, he did them on his main toons and then logged over to his panda to turn them all in.

Herbing stopped giving him experience at a certain point

I’m so disappointed that this isn’t about the show…

  • questing til Im bored
  • mining ore as Im moving around the map
  • dungeons to max or whatever level Im locking XP at.

Non of those would be legit lvling, besides it dosent really matter since you can lvl right now in like 1 day

When I level, I quest and queue for dungeons and do them as they pop up and when done, the group may want to do more and so I will otherwise I go back to questing and queue up again.
