Thank god for the improvements to solo play because there have been zero improvements made to the quality of people or the general etiquette people operate under during group play.

As a self aware mediocre player who tries to be a little bit better, I’m okay emotionally when people tell me I did bad and I try to learn from it.

I ran the mythic weekly last week and set my groups to “relaxed” + added “chill group” to the listing. I had one guildmate and 3 pick-ups who were super pleasant.
Lots of people out there actively looking for nice people, put the flare out.
I’m pretty sure the devs can’t fix player attitudes. That being said…
Things can be solved by running with friends or guild. Pugging can be toxic. Which means they need to spend some time on fixing guilds.
All of the guild permissions are still crap since Communities were added. The guild finder sucks. The application window sucks. The guild windows themselves need an overhaul as they haven’t been touched ever, except to add a tab and a column. There are zero permissions to deal with housing. Calendar events for guilds are archaic and that calendar needs help.
So much of that stuff is still the same basic crap from Vanilla. It needs updates.
The more tools we have for people to find and per part of a guild, the more we can do for people and running content, so they don’t have to pug.
Just had a group where two people all of a sudden started talking in their own language.
Then randomly they added in “paladin” in their sentences, I was the tank paladin.
Eventually when on boss, the warlock pipes up “Paladin use BL”
and I am like “???”
The warrior goes “BL”
I go “Paladins do not have BL, tell me the name of the spell if you think they do.”
Warrior goes “Judgement”
…..
… Clowns.
They continued to talk in their own language and randomly throw small insults around, like “ru bad”
Im from EU, so yeah - we have multiple languages, but:
nr1; Not using English in a common chat is just rude in itself
and 2; Genuinly being rude - and not knowing the game or trying to be “funny”.
It wasnt nice.
I regretted joining LFG right away.
This is why I do not do pugs anymore, and I am one less Tank & Healer, since I play all classes…
