I used to enjoy solo AOE leveling with a frost mage in Classic. Are there any classes where solo AOE leveling (outdoors or in dungeons) is a thing in Cata? Maybe frost mage, prot war, prot pally?

Sadly a huge part of WoW was removed to combat bots a while back. The mobs now will cast an unlimited stun on you and you will die in dungeons when attempting to AoE farm. A good many specs and items in the game were rendered useless in a matter of seconds whenever they decided to actually go through with implementing this change of code. It was something I really enjoyed about vanilla, and it’s very unfortunate that certain devs got their way with classic, even if they are no longer there, their changes remain.

You can still do it in the open world that is what I did.to level my mage just grinded mobs while doing dungeon ques
Ah so this nerf/change only affects dungeons!
I have a mage I’m leveling. It seems that they moved the blizzard spell to like the mid 50s levels which means for half of leveling you can only single target. (You have AE but it’s kind of dogwater and you can’t really facetank mobs like you could in SoD)
