Not sure if this is a bug or not or how it happened but a dwarf hunter and I (orc hunter) were waiting around to catch Nelson the Nice in Silithus for our Rhok’ledar quest. When he was in a good spot he summoned Solenor. I let him go first since he had an ally warlock friend to give him the curse to prevent fears. He failed his attempt. I went for an attempt while he was running back, and failed as well, so then it was his turn. He succeeded in killing him and I alt tabbed and went afk for a couple minutes.
When I came back I noticed they were still over by the corpse, so I went over there to /cheer and congratulate him on killing it, and that’s when I noticed the corpse was lootable. Thinking that it was just a trash item of some sort I went over there and looted it. I didn’t see that I actually picked up the quest item since I wasn’t tracking the quest, I thought it was just an empty loot table. A minute or so later the ally hunter started /spit etc.
I logged over to my ally toon to whisper him, and he said that the corpse was unlootable for him after he killed it. He wasn’t in a party with the warlock or anything but couldn’t loot it for whatever reason. I logged back over and noticed that I did in fact loot the quest item, the head.
Just wondering how this could have happened?
