Season of redundancy
Its outright bad marketing. If they just called it classic+, it would be received very differently. Instead they reused the ‘season’ concept that previously failed and comes across as temporary. All they had to do was call it classic+ and roll with it. Far as we can tell from class changes that are being shared, it is pretty substantial.

I mean the idea of playing semi-blind might be a good one, with new stuff to find and a general expectation that the old stuff will be there. We don’t know much other than they have abilities which might make other (meme) specs viable. The honor grind might be easier when divided by a game which adds 10 levels each other month or so. And the vanilla dungeons being 10man raids might compliment their epic scope really well.
Only thing I might add is maybe badges for 10man raid loot which used to be 5man dungeons.

Truthfully, I think it’s a fantastic idea.
That doesn’t mean I believe they’ve finished working on the first phase of SoD, let alone the last.
I dont disagree. just think it was foolish of them not to call it classic +. 100% people will cry, but why frame it as a season when you can just call it classic + instead.
they cant call it classic+ because it’s hardly any content, just some cringe low lvl capped crap, private servers do classic+ better lol

They’re not calling it Classic+ because it’s a testing ground for a lot of things, also doubling as a proof of concept to show the highups that there is genuine interest in new classic content. If this does well we’ll probably see Classic+
