I played ret in sod, but I did not enjoy twisting as much in TBC… I can’t remember the difference… Can someone explain it to me and is there any chance we get sod style twisting in TBC…
pet twisting, totem twisting, etc its just not fun gameplay.
Sod seal twisting is a ton of fun… Damn son, that’s a big twist…
Enjoying sod twisting far more then tbc twisting, esp with judgement twisting aswell.
The only issue with SoD twisting is the weird insistence by certain devs that don’t understand the MMO genre very well that demand it has to do more than other playstyles for the class, so they nerf other playstyles just to preserve the ego of a few certain friends of theirs.
Otherwise it’s great.
Do you remember the difference outside of double judge?
We have many spells in SoD that twisting becomes “dificult” and sometimes in a dps loss, making twist less important than tbc.
With less skills in tbc twisting is a rule and our Best source of dps.
Even using seal stacking we get sometimes múltiples cooldowns gone at the same time in SoD.
Seal twist in sod is very different because the seals can twist both ways. In tbc you had one way twisting which means you needed to reseal at the start of a swing often times. Also wind fury did not proc off of specials so we did not use stop attack.
Tbc also has many sources of mid fight haste and spell haste all of which affect your ratio of twists to casts of crusader strike or cons/exo. There were up to 9 different rotations based on swing speed which was dynamic.
Sod and tbc twisting are worlds apart as sod twisting is not dynamic at all and actually a strict rotation of pressing buttons on the gcd.
Tbc has a substantial degree of nuance to twisting that sod has dropped in favor of pushing the masses towards it.
In a nutshell, tbc twisting had bloodlust which would make it where you only twist every other auto, or every other other.

Ty, it was making me crazy. Sod twisting is so rhythmic, farming is relaxing with it…. I hope they give us the two way twist in tbc.
Yup it’s the two way twist as mentioned. This was also added in Anniversary so we should have it in TBC anniversary as well. Feels so much better, I’m very excited
