Can we please get target dummies in Org and SW? I know they were initially introduced when WotLK released (added in patch 3.0.2.8905)
I am surprised they were not added to SoD or even on ERA yet.

because back then the design intent for vanilla was you were supposed to go out into the world to engage in it. Contrary to popular belief, anything you do in vanilla has to be in the context of open world/grouped content, and painfully slow to give you time to think about how you are playing against mechanics instead of sitting in a city smacking a stationary target for 6 hours.
So basically your only argument is “#NOCHANGES”
Era is right there. Go back to it.

Well SoD is Vanilla raids,Vanilla world, Vanilla level cap the base of the game is VANILLA!!! with some tweaks.
Actually back then they just never thought to add training dummies.

so lets add a tweak that gives us target dummies
I would speculate that tweaking gear and rotations to move from 98 to 99 percentile DPS was never really a consideration from Vanilla devs. Clearing content more about experimentation. So, training dummies were never necessary/considered.
I don’t see why they shouldn’t be in SoD, though I don’t like parse culture myself.

lol the parse culture is very toxic!!! logs are great tool for prog seeing where damage is coming from why your wiping things of the nature but to get good parses you have to run parse strats and have really low kill times or your not going to parse even if your damage is good the kill time will give you a lower parse plus its SoD kill the bosses have fun collect the loot

this is sod tho and even ERA isnt vanilla. i played both and 05 vanilla was 100% tuned different. everything they gave you in rereleased 2019 is incorrect
If you absolutely need a target dummy, the spirits in the back of the throne room in dmn work. Make sure you do NOT get the king buff before engaging them and I am almost certain the hunter cleared tributes won’t work to get you back there.
There’s some target dummies in the flats in 1000 needles but they’re immune to bleeds.

yea mostly because players tested their stuff on actual mobs in the content they needed answer for.
Pointless argument because we have logs and sims now. Nothing really gets discovered by the players after the patch anyway.
Nothing wrong with adding combat dummies. I would go a step further and put a Tank dummy that hits back for tanks to test.
You didn’t need to test rotations in Vanilla because there weren’t any. You had two buttons to press.
