Client: WoW Classic - Season of Discovery
I have to assume this is a bug. The Gnomeregan epic enchanting item, Sigil of Innovation, does not stack with Lesser Arcane Elixir. This essentially makes enchanting nothing more than a +6sp increase over what is available to all classes. This puts enchanting well behind all other Gnomeregan profession recipes.
Not character specific.
EDIT: Confirmed that has been fixed. It would be nice if the Sigil effect persisted through death however.
EDIT 2: For anyone else that comes across this, the mats have been changed from 3 Dream Dust, to 5 Vision Dust. It just went live with the latest 2/16 hotfix. This is a completely acceptable alternative and makes this an easy win/win for enchanters. Amazing job, thank you.
As a follow up to this why on earth does this take dream dust to make?
This should be fixed as of a day or so ago.
Something I didn’t mention, but yes, the fact that this takes Dream Dust makes the not stacking even worse. The bug is that it doesn’t stack, but the surrounding requirements for it certainly amplify the issue.
I AGREED this is so incredibly stupid its actually insane… who ever thought of this should be ashamed.
it never should have been released like this. almost as if blizzard employees don’t know how you obtain dream dust.

It does, I edited my original post to reflect this. My only requested change, and this is less of a bug and more of an enhancement, is that the Sigil persist through death. It’s an epic item from a long quest chain that is expensive to make. Dropping it after death is only going to make it more expensive to craft and likely lead to enchanters not using it at all.
Definitely seems undesirable for an expensive item to have to be reapplied all the time.
