The Shadowstep rune ability is triggering the global cooldown, causing a delay between shadowstep and your next ability.
Please rectify.
Fix it pls, shadowstep is unplayable and it’s not very well designed. It has two problems.
- It triggers GCD as mentioned above.

It’s good if it can step during nova however triggering GCD ruin everything, rogues would rather it doesn’t work during nova but without triggering GCD.
Definitely needs looking at.
Shadowstepping to a target just to immediately get stunned, novad, gouged etc really ruins the fluid nature of the ability.
Healing? Shadowstep to kick… nope, GCD. Heals gone off.
There are other abilities off the GCD, and shadowstep changes won’t affect Era/Hardcore. So hopefully no limitation.
Please fix this Blizz. This is one of our most Iconic abilities and it deserves better than this.
Even in PvE this feels bad, I was trying to farm ogres in Ferals today and I’d be stealthed and shadow step to an ogre to sap it so I can fight 1 at a time and the ogre would just turn around, see me and knock me out of stealth.
Lol no, rogue is already OP as hell. Don’t change this. They already have shadowstrike, they didn’t even need another gap closer. Melee classes are supposed to be kiteable. Shadowstep is completely against vanilla’s game design.

It’s a core rune !? It was the biggest PvP mistake of TBC. Shadowstep + cloack of shadow was the big downsides of TBC PvP.
Vanilla class design is based on range classes trying to kite and melee trying to chase. Shadowstep makes rogue unkitable. It’s a stupid ability that should have never come to any version of classic. Now you want it to be off GCD too… LOL

Rogues at least need to learn how to be decent in order stand out in PvP. It takes a lot of “Okay shouldn’t have used that CD yet, I should have done this, oh I should have used that CD earlier, oh I should have blinded there and reset.”
It’s a journey you have to commit to or always remain mediocre. Meanwhile, you have hunters being carried by their pets while they tab in and out of the game.
They should fix warlock’s Demon Grace rune with 0 gcd as well, imagine a 6s crit buff with 1.5s gcd, not acceptable.
Damn right. It sucks that its the only leg rune you can get for a while too. Demonic grace needs a big overhaul. As its stands its just a filler rune.

A way to combat kitting ? “A” Way ?? A as one ? here are the “A” way of closing gap for rogue:
1- x2 sprint that gives 60% speed remove slow effect
2- x2 vanishes that remove slow effect >> Shadowstrike
So to explain it better for people who are no familiar here is the full story:
1- Rogues open on you out of stealth
2- You survive the 10 seconds initial stun
3- You survive Blind no 1 > Sap > another 10 sec stun
4- You survive Blind no 2 > Sap > another 10 sec stun, find away to remove the 70% slow effect and make some distance
5- You survive the sprint 60% movement speed into vanish and another 10 sec stun
6- You survive vanish x2 > sap > another 10 sec stun, find away to remove the 70% slow effect and make some distance
7- At this point you think you got away but wait now the SHADOWSTEP to get to you
LOLL. So on the conclusion if you have happen to survive about 50 seconds of being stunned and get away from a rogue now they will SHADOWSTEP and get to you again. That’s called a ridiculous game design.
Shadowstep officially makes rogue the only melee class that’s not kitable.
CC that breaks on damage isn’t a stun. Do you even play this game? Lil bro going around thinking sap and blind are just casually 10 second stuns.
Sprint is on a 5 min CD as is Vanish. To get prep, which is on a 10 min CD and resets those CD’s once, you have to spec deep into sub and give up a bunch of raw power in the process.
In order to use shadowstrike which is our only other gap closer we have to give up Mutiliate.
Shadowstrike is only usable in stealth.
Your whole rant reeks of disingenuous reaching. If anything, all you’ve allowed me to do is easily refute points towards the implication that rogues are overpowered.
Regardless, this is the bug reporting forum and its not meant for these kinds of discussions. Take it somewhere else. If you are that salty about not being able to be carried by lightning breath anymore, go make a thread complaining about rogues on the SoD forums.

And this is what you got, a shadowstep with a GCD, which is about 100 timers more than what you deserved.
